Good value for money
Came in early January in this room with my wife, Well placed, good value for money good breakfast, clean place price, constrained we enter cars pass.. overall good past stay I recommend for passing here!

Not recommended
I stayed at Cavour16 Rent Bedrooms for one night between June 18 and 19, 2026. I had booked through the Booking portal the room with the balcony advertised as "King with balcony," which was supposed to have: private bathroom, air conditioning, wardrobe or closet, bathtub or shower, TV, etc.
The room assigned to me was number 4. Upon entering the room, total disappointment: the balcony (which was supposed to be a plus) is located just a few meters away and at the same height as the elevated road in Genoa, which is a very busy artery 24/7 (impossible to use the balcony), there was no wardrobe (to store clothes, there was only a pole with some hangers and a shelf above), the air conditioning was not working, but at least there was a bathroom with a shower.
I spent a sleepless night due to the heat and the noise coming from the street.
The room is modest, with dated furnishings, and the lighting in the bathroom and the room is absolutely insufficient (one of the two lamps beside the bed was not working).
I contacted the manager to complain primarily about the non-functioning air conditioning and the noise from the room, requesting a refund of the price paid for the inconvenience.
The manager had also sent me a message stating that the refund would be processed through Booking by opening a specific case, which I did upon my return.
Unfortunately, a few days later, Booking sent me a message informing me that they had not reached an agreement with the manager, so no refund would be issued.

Bad experience
We booked mainly for the proximity to the center and for the air conditioning, since in Genoa at this time it is particularly hot. Obviously the air was out, and the owner was well aware of it, saying she had already called a technician, who in 4 days has not been seen. To make it up to us he did charity with a breakfast at the bar for 2 people (€ 4/5 more or less in total). Structure with very old furniture, non-existent services, absolutely not recommended....

What to say…
We stayed just one night at the b&b to visit Genoa and the aquarium. The property is promising, quite clean, we were given a room for 3 even though there were 2 of us, so the room was also spacious. From the moment of booking we knew that the room would not have an internal bathroom, which would have suited us as it was only one night, since however we had been assured that the bathroom, even if outside the room, was private. It was expressly specified to us that they had decided to assign us the bathroom exactly in front of our room, so that we wouldn't have to walk down the entire corridor to go there. Already from the same afternoon, however, we realized that we were actually sharing the "private" bathroom with someone else who left his things stored and therefore had the same key as us to enter.
Despite this, we decided to point this out only at check-out, even if the service was not what we had booked and paid for. We were guaranteed by the owners that we would have at least a partial refund of the expense, we thanked them and left without even leaving a negative review because we understood that it could have been a mistake. Almost a year later, obviously, the refund has not arrived.
Bottom line: not recommended.
Despite this, we decided to point this out only at check-out, even if the service was not what we had booked and paid for. We were guaranteed by the owners that we would have at least a partial refund of the expense, we thanked them and left without even leaving a negative review because we understood that it could have been a mistake. Price of a hotel but completely absent service and need to bring earplugs.
No one at reception at 5 p.m. Waiting 2 hours to collect the keys. It is absolutely necessary to equip yourself with earplugs to withstand the noise of the 2X2 lanes passing a few meters from the room! Spartan breakfast. And the price is that of a hotel without any advantage of the latter.....
