Very enjoyable holiday with tour group.

Went with Riviera travel. The hotel is clean and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is largely continental so you're not getting a UK fry up. There's pastries, bread,cheese,ham,cereals (admittedly not Kellogg's quality), fruit both fresh and tinned. Usual fairly useless toaster available but that's the same in most hotels, UK and abroad. Good opportunity to chat with other guests! Evening meals are not cordon bleu but perfectly acceptable, you're not going to starve. Travelling with a tour group therefore evening meals are not a la carte. Rooms seem to be of variable quality. Ours was fairly large, plenty of plug sockets both beside the bed and near a mirror, ( novel idea, whoever would have thought having a plug socket near a mirror was a good idea ), loads of wardrobe space, lots of drawers. Even a full length mirror attached to the wall. Perfectly happy
If you want to eat out, it's a short walk to restaurants and supermarkets. Pool area pleasant many sunbeds. Overall don't expect 5* and you'll be happy.

I recommend this hotel

Very good hotel. The staff and hotel manager were really friendly and helpful.
The workout facilities are top notch and the pool was really nice.

Outdated rooms, overpriced

We booked a 3-person room, which was of good size. The interior of the room and bathroom is pretty old. They still work with an old fashioned roomkey, so did not enter the digital era yet. Breakfast is not great and the breakfastroom looks like a 80's wedding-venue with huge tableclothes, chairs draped and staff in old-fashioned attire. The coffee from the buffet is the worst we ever had in Italy, and we even tried several options. Only when you order at your table, you get a decent coffee.
For the pool/beach towels you have to pay, same for their beachbeds/umbrella. We once ordered a pizza at the pool, but it was very salty, loads of cheese and not tasty at all (16 Euro). Drinks at the bar are expensive: regular beer 7 Euro, Corona 12 Euro!, Aperol Spritz 12 Euro.
Staff at the reception is very kind and helpful. The bar and reception have been refurbished, but the rooms for sure not. For 250 Euro/night (bed+breakfast) I believe it is overpriced especially since you have to pay for all "extra's" as well (towels, sunbed beach).

Fab holiday rooms need a spruce

The hotel is perfectly clean but does need some modernising. The lobby/reception area/spa feels luxurious and modern but the room feels 80s and drab. The shower cubicle is tiny need to be a contortionist to shave legs in there and with a fixed shower head a sprays a mist of water washing hair is task. Unfortunately in our room the bathroom window which is behind the toilet is situated right where the neighbours table/chairs was so no privacy in bathroom because if you can hear their conversation they will hear you. Our light and lock in bathroom was broke when we arrived but light got fixed the next day but the bathroom lock remained broke. The door to the room and bathroom needs a double click to make sure they shut properly. Plenty of storage for clothes. Single Twin Beds comfortable for the most part. Rooms will be cleaned everyday if you wish or there is a sign to put on door if not. The window shutter contraption is on a pulley rope so unfortunately to get out the double doors you have to make a racket to sit outside room.
The breakfast is basic but nice, food from the pool bar was great it is a large portion of food so the sandwiches /paninis/burger can be split between 2 - club sandwich and smash burger worth the €18. The drinks are on the more expensive side €4 small soft drink €7 bottle of messina - local lager or €9 for corona -€16 for a pina colada. All of which are charged to the room theres no option to pay as you go. Some staff make you sign receipt but you dont get a copy some do not, so i just kept a running total in phone notes. There are some shops local within walking distance and some restaurants our favourite close to the hotel was SIRE its a few minutes walk it is worth checking out- it is better than its trip advisor score!
Few beach clubs nearby also, W beach club is only a few minutes away and the drinks are a reasonable price.

Lovely location in GN

Visited for 3 nights as part of a Titan tour. Overall very good and we had our evening meals included here too. A bonus would have been to serve tea/coffee at the table at breakfast. Perfectly adequate breakfast and staff attentive in evening.
