ALL POSITIVE Just a few notes

Great location, impeccable cleanliness, proportionate price. Just two notes: a room for 4 people can not have an extra mirror, a basket in the room. The shower head is a bit unstable, the shower has a leak that after 4 showers could flood the bathroom. The beds makeover is to be reviewed.
Unfortunately the location as it is in the city center is still located in the heart of the Abruzzo nightlife.
For everything else my review is very positive, I absolutely recommend!

BAD ACCEPTANCE in an exceptional structure

Unfortunately, despite being an exceptional structure, it lacks courtesy (the owner is quite grumpy and not very kind). We also booked with breakfast and were given a piece of paper to deliver to the bar in the square. In the morning we went for breakfast and upon requesting orange juice instead of cappuccino we were told we had to make an addition. ABSURD!!!! Also room without air conditioning. Yet being a structure in a 16th century building it would take very little to make the stay exceptional. Furthermore, when talking about breakfast included, it should be specified that breakfast MUST BE HAD AT THE BAR!??

Ideal location to discover the city centre

BB Palazzo Cappa is located in a historical building, nicely renovated in the heart of L'Aquila. Forget the car and discover the city on foot. Be aware that there is no elevator and the rooms are at the third floor. In summer time, if you leave the windows open it may be noisy because of the nearby restaurants and bars.
My room was very large (for up to three people), but the furniture was quite basic.
I would add a bedside table for each bed to keep the phone or a bottle of water.
I also found annoying to have breakfast outside in a nearby bar.
Overall the price is all right.

Beautiful B&B, terribly noisy location / bellissimo pernottamento, ubicazione terribile.

The B&B is wonderful. A beautifully restored property in the historical centre of the city. Very comfortable and perfectly convenient. The only problem is the terrible noise from the street, which would stop you sleeping, even with earplugs, until 2 a.m. at the earliest. / Bellissimo posto ben restaurato, confortevole, buon prezzo, ma il rumore della strada e' insopportabile - musica pulsante e gli urli degli ubriachi fino a notte profondo.

A different and fascinating experience!

Be prepared: L’Aquila is still rebuilding after the terrible earthquakes, and so the town is a mixture of wonderful buildings, rubble, cranes and partially restored historic gems. Palazzo Coppa survived the earthquake (the walls are incredibly thick) and is a wonderful historic place to stay. Our host Fabrizio, a rugby fanatic who also runs the trattoria downstairs, was having a bad day, as the power went off and he was faced with a restaurant with no working ovens! Luckily we had eaten before this nasty interruption. The room was spacious and pretty, and the building is very well located with respect to major landmarks, such as the fountain and the incredible fortress (still closed for restoration, but you can walk around the outside in the park. Though breakfast is included, it’s just a coffee and cornetto at a local cafe, so don’t expect too much.
