Good stay
really good. nice room, good bed, working air conditioning, fridge and working television, nice lady greeted us, pretty value for money, quiet building and close to the station. really recommend, felt safe travelling with friends as a young person

LIA ROOMS ABANDONED US WITH HER ATROCIOUS BEHAVIOUR
This Lady Lia lacks basic human approach and ethics. She gets into monologue - Not My Problem Its Your Fault! Pay extra euros and hangs up each time u call her. We had clearly communicated through email that we are delayed due to trains and to keep keys in the room which most of private rooms adhere to. She must know that tourists are dependent on public/private transport. We cannot fly and come if it is delayed. Things never go as planned especially no one has control over nature and man made services. She is well aware that tourists are in their most vulnerable state especially at night in an unknown street and this is the only way to play with them. Such outlandish mindset and cheap business tactics. I strongly hope No one goes through this horrid phase which will ultimately ruin your trip with anxiety stress and trauma Also this kind of mindset wont help much this will be a short term business since it is done through illicit ways.

WARNING, please take note before booking at this accommodation.
We had a 5 hour drive to reach this property, this was due to an auto accident and detour on the journey which resulted in us arriving in La Spezia at 8pm. This time was one hour after closure of normal check in and we were expecting to pay a euro 10 charge for this as stated in the booking terms and conditions. We were exhausted and in an unfamiliar city at night after travelling for 18 hours from the UK, we could not find the property so we decided to telephone and ask for directions. I called and introduced myself but the person who answered immediately cut me off with, "impossible, check in closed" then hung up on me! I was absolutely bewildered so decided that we should try to find the place as it was dark and getting late and we had no idea where we were. After 30 minutes driving around in a very dark and unsavoury looking neighbourhood we finally located our accommodation but could not gain entry or find anyone who knew anything about it. We were beginning to feel unsafe, it was getting late, the place was dark and seedy, we did not know the area and had nowhere else to go. I decided to telephone again, I attempted to explain our circumstances but once more I was quickly interrupted by the same woman as before who announced "Impossible, check in closed". I said that we were standing outside the door and had nowhere else to stay but interrupted again and said "No show, no show" and then abruptly hung up. I was stunned and did not know what to do so I tried to call back several times but nobody answered. I honestly cannot tell you how vulnerable and abandoned we felt, it was pitch dark, we were in a dingy area of an unfamiliar city at night with no idea where we should go. It is hard to comprehend how negligent, unprofessional and downright dangerous our treatment felt, not to mention unnecessarily rude, insulting and unhelpful. Even if it had been impossible to accommodate us (difficult to see why) then at least it would have been reassuring to be offered advice on where we might find a safe hotel to sleep that night. We decided to simply keep driving and finally found a hotel which had a free room, so ending a very disturbing experience which cast a shadow over our holiday, looking back it still causes a lot of resentment... especially as I have since been told that this is a cruel tactic employed by some unscrupulous properties to make money from doing absolutely nothing. Also... it is important to point out that we booked this through booking.com who will not allow me to publicly comment on our experience because the property cancelled our booking so technically we never stayed there so cannot leave a review... what a stitch up! So basically, every time this happens it places tired and vulnerable travellers at risk, takes their money, this is never recorded so we have no way of knowing how often it happens and we are prevented of warning others.

Maleducata e cafona la proprietaria, chiamata due volte di cui una per informarla di un nostro possibile ritardo, ci ha risposto sgarbatamente dicendo di scrivere sull'app di booking dove avevamo prenotato e ci ha educatamente aggàngiato il telefono in faccia.
Stanza con temperatura percepita 10°C, riscaldamento spento e finestre aperte (siamo a gennaio). Scopriamo poi che il riscaldamento non va, c'è un tèrmoconvettore che non va ma c'é in dotazione una stufetta che per arrivare ad una temperatura accettabile ci ha impiegato 4 ore.
Tapparella rotta con luce che entrava di prima mattina, e mancanza di privacy.
Intonaco del bagno staccato, tavoletta del bagno "mobile", luce dello specchio non funzionante.
Stabile fatiscente e odore sulle scale terribile

Galen kvinna
Jag och min flickvän bodde här i 3 nätter, det är bra läge trevliga rena rum. Men jag skulle gå iväg och handla och min flickvän var kvar i rummet, då fick jag ett problem med nyckeln. Den nyckeln som vi hade fått var lite sliten så jag kunde inte komma in och min flickvän som var kvar inne på rummet kunde inte komma ut. Då ringer jag till kvinnan som nämnts i tidigare recensioner, och hon skriker att jag fått nyckeln och den fungerar och sen lägger på. Jag blir förvånad och tänker att hon måste missuppfattat så jag ringer igen. Kvinnan blir galen och gapar ännu mer sen lägger på. Då i den stunden är klockan 19:00 och jag kan inte komma in på rummet och min flickvän är inlåst i rummet. Efter ca 1 timma att vänta och försöka lösa problemet som värden inte alls vill hjälpa till med så kommer det två personer som ska checka in och vi kommer in!
Stort tack till den snälla städerskan som sen hjälpte oss att byta nyckel!
Men i övrigt ett okej boende vad man förvänta sig, men om det skulle bli något problem så du får handskas med den galna kvinnan så rekommenderar jag att ta ett annat boende.
