Yachting Residence

Amazing sea view. Very clean and nice apartment. Unfortunately, the wifi doesn’t work properly and only one device can be connected per session.

Abnormal apartment, unfriendly, no parking
We have been guests at the Yachting Residence for several years, but unfortunately we have found that the standard is constantly decreasing. There is obviously nothing invested in Vacation rentals anymore, and the furniture has now become completely worn out.
This year, the shortcomings were particularly striking: The bathroom door could no longer be closed and remained open all the time – which was extremely unpleasant when using the toilet, as there was no privacy at all. The handle on the balcony door was broken, so we were afraid it would completely tear off and we would not come back to the apartment. The fridge was in a miserable condition: heavily iced, yellowed and ancient. Also the cleanliness left much to be desired. There were huge clouds of dust under the bed – obviously only superficial cleaning around the bed.
The parking situation is also unreasonable. There is no dedicated parking for guests, and you have to tediously drag the luggage from the nearest free parking space, which is about 2-3 minutes walk away. In front of the house there is a short parking area for loading and unloading, which is regularly occupied by the property manager. On our departure we stood on this place to pack our car. The property manager honked her car in front of us and asked us in an extremely rude tone to make way, she had to unload things. When we explained to her that we were at the invitation, we were insulted and falsely accused of constantly blocking this parking lot. That was a flat lie, as we had never occupied this short-term parking lot, even when we arrived it had been occupied by the property manager's car.
Another problem to know before Booking Referral: Many guests have one or two dogs with them. The complex resembles a dog boarding house. There is no park nearby, and the dogs often do their emergency work right in front of the garden fence, which leads to unpleasant smells in this area.
The location is very nice, right on the harbour. If you have booked a room with sea view, the stay on the balcony is very nice. The balcony railing and privacy screen between the apartments are new. Too bad that you only invested in the outdoor area and the apartment inside is in bad condition.
Unfortunately, we can no longer recommend the Yachting Residence after these experiences. It would be urgent to invest in the maintenance of the apartments and the service to make the stay pleasant for the guests again. In addition, we find the behavior of the property manager very strange. At least as a paying guest you can expect to be treated with respect and normal tone.

Don't go there
Obnoxious disgusting cleanliness 0 terrible worst hotel ever. Dirty beds hair everywhere. There was no wifi only 1 phone can connect to wifi. When you enter the room the beds are not made. And it makes a stink in the corridor. Disgusting noisy

It sucks
Dirty beds, dirty rooms, it's disgusting, too much noise, so much dust, there's hair on the floor, I wouldn't have recommended it even to my worst enemy. Kids screaming at 7am gross.

Great location, not so great apartment.
On booking into the Yachting Residence I was charged an extra €5 for a towel. This was increasingly frustrating because I was in a party of 12 people. Not ideal.
On arriving at the the actual Yachting Club the rooms were clean and tidy and they were also very small. The kitchen had enough space to prepare food, but no oven. We also needed to buy a toaster. When coking food the kitchen was very tight and due to the lack of an oven we were limited to what we could cook.
The beds were comfy but they were made up with sheets and there were also thicker blankets in the cupboard, the option to have a duvet would have been ideal considering its 2019, but unfortunately that option wasn't available. It was an unnecessary chore having to make a bed every day.
The shower room was of a decent enough size and fit for purpose. If anything the shower itself could do with being larger. The larger gentlemen would struggle to fit in.

You really couldn't hope for a better spot. The accommodation is situated a 5 minute walk away from the strip and is literally right on the harbour. There's plenty to see and do around the accommodation and hopefully whoever is reading this won't be subjected to hearing the owners conduct renovation work on the weekend.
