Very friendly staff over all, welcoming at breakfast and dinner and also at the reception. Unfortunately our AC in the room did not work properly, and could not be fixed during our visit which made it a bit difficult at night as we had 35-40 degrees during our week stay. Nice pool area for adults, could use some shade over part of for those who need. Breakfast buffet and dinner buffet had everything we needed and more, with okey variation. Very nice views from the hotel and a close walk to town center.

Brilliant hotel in the perfect location

We stayed at the Splendid Palace for a week. It was just the most beautiful location. The views over the lake are breathtaking. The hotel is so clean and professionally managed, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and there is such a great choice. It caters for vegetarians really well. Some say the decor is dated and it’s not a modern hotel but i really liked the vibe. Also the cleaners do start early but again that didn’t bother me. I would perhaps suggest being put in a room not directly beneath the reception areas it’s cleaned at 7am in the morning but it doesn’t last long. The hotel is in a brilliant location - a short walk from Limone along a cobbled path which takes about 5 mins but it feels like you’re in a really peaceful location. You are also very close to the Limone ferry stop which is really handy for getting about. We will be back for sure. Cannot wait.

Amazing hotel. Fabulous views, great location and super friendly and helpful staff. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Splendid Hotel in a Splendid location.

We stayed here 9 years ago and found it good but our recent stay was even better. Yes rooms may appear dated, it’s Italy that’s not unusual. You have everything you need in the room including electronic safe and small fridge for drinks. Room cleaning was excellent and no shortage of fresh linen, towels including pool towels. Food was better than I remembered. Enough variety to suit any palate. (Unfortunately I only photographed desserts :). The views to the lake and Limone were stunning overall location was very central for tours. All the staff from housekeeping to reception, bar and restaurant were so friendly and obliging. A big hello to Elmer in the restaurant. He is a ray of sunshine and so nice. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Wonderful stay and location

A beautiful hotel with friendly, professional and helpful staff. As a solo traveller I had the single room with balcony and there was plenty of room and storage options. Small fridge, flatscreen TV all provided. Fresh towels every day. The bonus was the balcony, I was promised a room with a view of lemon groves and what i got was pretty outstanding... overlooked the lake, Monte Baldo and Limone. The breakfast and dinner was buffet which was delicious and there was always plenty to choose from. Limone town is only a few minutes walk away and it is downhill, bare in mind when walking back it is uphill and cobblestones! That said would stay here again in a heartbeat.
