Fab hotel in a great location
So close to the town and the ferries. Rooms very clean and bright. All in all a great stay with very attentive staff

Perfect stay
The staff are very friendly and welcoming!!
We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary whilst staying at the hotel and Marco had made a card that was waiting for us on our table at breakfast, a lovely suprise for us both and made the day extra special!
The location is perfect for exploring Malcesine and the local area. It was so lovely to be able to walk 5 mins into town and it's a flat walk. Lots of fabulous restaurants and shops to explore!
Our room faced the mountain which was perfect for us. Marco has really thought of everything with this hotel as every floor had a small balcony with seating area that you could use to have views over the lake which we thought was a wonderful touch.
The breakfast was beautiful and a wide selection of choices. Eggs cooked however you wanted and each morning asked how you would like them cooked.
This is a 3 star hotel but it's 5 star standard!!
We hope to return to Malcesine in the future and this is the only hotel we would want to stay at.

Mixed feelings about this hotel
The location and cleanliness are brilliant, and the views at breakfast are genuinely breathtaking — it’s the kind of setting that immediately feels special and memorable.
However, despite the beautiful surroundings, this hotel made us feel quite uncomfortable at times. I’ve never stayed in a hotel with so many strict rules. Even simple things like eating ice cream at the front of the hotel weren’t allowed, and we were told that bringing drinks in could result in them being taken away. It created an atmosphere that felt overly controlled rather than relaxed.
On the morning of our wedding, we chose to skip breakfast and go for a walk. When we returned, the hotel manager questioned my husband about why we hadn’t been for breakfast. It felt unnecessary and intrusive, and I don’t understand why that would be a concern for staff.
While most of the staff, especially the two lovely ladies on reception, were warm and welcoming, there did seem to be an underlying tension in how things were run. It often felt like staff were under pressure, which affected the overall atmosphere.
Unfortunately, apart from the beautiful building and setting, the hotel didn’t feel particularly relaxing or fun. The vibe was quite formal and rigid, and at times reminded us more of a very strict, quiet residence than a welcoming hotel. We found ourselves spending as much time away from the property as possible just to relax.
Overall, it’s a beautiful hotel with incredible views and genuinely kind reception staff, but it is significantly let down by overly petty rules and a management style that made the stay feel uncomfortable rather than enjoyable.
