Friendly and comfortable

Thank you, Angelo, Manuela, and Diana for making our stay at the Hotel Fioriti so pleasant. Everyone there was so friendly. My room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good place to stay in Matelica.

Very incorrect

I should have stayed, for business reasons at the Hotel Fioriti, explaining my need to arrive at the hotel in the morning, since in the afternoon I would have to leave. I received a Response, regarding the impossibility to grant my request, exactly a few minutes after midnight of the three days before my stay, deadline by which it was still possible to cancel the Reservation. I was therefore bound, having booked through booking , to pay the full amount of the stay, without spending a single second at the hotel.

Negative

I only stayed 1 night even though I paid on arrival for 3 nights because in the morning I woke up with a sting on my back, obviously at the moment I didn't think anything of it but then I developed hives, erythema all over my body, I think it's it was caused by an insect not even identified by 2 emergency rooms and a private visit to the dermatologist, I have already been treating myself for 10 days with cortisone, I notified the hotelier but clearly it is my word against his so I kept my suffering and costs of care.

Maybe in the summer...

While looking for suggestions in the area, Tripadvisor suggested this structure - whose experience we had "removed" - already visited last winter (February, with snow). In fact, in order to participate in an event in Matelica with a group of friends, we had chosen the only operational structure. Although booked in advance, the rooms were very/too cold, with insufficient heating... The situation was not resolved, although reported immediately. Sin.
Paraphrasing Barbieri: "the delicious tarts prepared for breakfast by the kind owner are not worth - alone - the trip"

One night stay of two halves

I arrived around the time I'd advised in the booking, and there was a man on reception who could not have been less interested, all he wanted to do was his stamp collection. There was a bad smell in the room - drains. On mentioning this, his response was "it was occupied this morning" (like that was relevant, I was talking about what was happening right then, not that either there hadn't been a problem earlier or that the previous occupants hadn't complained). I ran water from all the taps/shower/bidet/toilet in the bathroom and opened the windows and went out, hoping it would clear. It didn't, if anything, it got worse. I considered seeing if there was another hotel in town with a vacancy, but eventually managed to persuade the man to let me have another room, which he did with great reluctance.
I had a quiet night's sleep once the next door occupants had turned off the telly.
The next morning, I wondered if I'd woken up in a different place. The lady serving breakfast could not have been more warm and welcoming. Such a shame she hadn't been there the day I'd arrived (apparently she'd not see the comment about my arrival time).
Such a shame. The lady was lovely, but I couldn't say I'd recommend this place, or that I'd return.
