A superb location in the centre of Montecatini

We stayed at the Minerva Palace hotel for 3 nights, during an 8 night stay in Tuscany. The location was perfect, in the centre of Montecatini so the beautiful parks, the Funicolare were all easily accessible. The staff at this hotel were superb, especially at reception, where we always had a warm welcome, also in the restaurant, where the service was wonderful. This hotel must be a great place to work because one of the restaurant staff had been there 32 years!! The night porter was a true legend.....I religiously head out for an early morning walk, so between 04.00am and 05.00am.......so the first time I was a bit of a shock to the night porter, who nevertheless greeted me like a friend, on the third morning we met with a high five!!
So the key question is would we go back......absolutely right we would!!
Thank you to all the staff for making our (all too short) visit so enjoyable.

One star for the awesome staff. Zero stars otherwise

The lobby is inviting. The staff are awesome, kind and efficient. There is a decent sundeck for viewing the sunset. For this reason I give it one star. Otherwise avoid at all costs. Our tour put us in this hotel. The room lacked security and was frozen in time. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows flat, the decor tacky and outdated. Think naked frolicking ladies on the wall. Many businesses on the same street were shuttered. We were very disappointed.
The town has some decent areas, including great shops, cafes and Montecatini Alto is a must do in the area by riding the funicular.

Pleasant stay in Montecatini

I stayed at this hotel on a weekend with my family, using as a base to visit Tuscany
Very convenient both by train and by car, being equipped with 2 parking spaces for customers
Spacious and comfortable rooms
I had requested a Walk-in shower and was accommodated, the beds are comfortable and quiet enough
In the evening it is very good on the terraces of the hotel with a beautiful view of the mountains around Montecatini
Breakfast is great with the possibility to vary on a wide choice of products, both Italian and international
Fruit vegetables, sweet nuts, bacon eggs
The really very kind and professional staff welcomed us and made us feel at ease, offering us coffee and cappuccino
We will definitely consider this hotel again in case of return to the area

Look no further...great place to stay.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Minerva Palace. This hotel is classic that is well run, very clean and in a great location. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We would stay here again when we come back to Montecatini.
