Basic, but good

Nice room, comfortable bed, complete breakfast, friendly staff. No luxury expected, so expectations met. Adjacent restaurant is excellent, by the way. Plenty of dishes, exquisite wines, friendly staff.

Choice on the fly

It may seem a little spartan at first but it offers everything you need at a very affordable cost. Combined with an excellent restaurant that reopened in those days, it was a winning choice. Comfortable single room with a spacious bathroom. Peaceful and comfortable sleep. Courteous staff

Could be better

A friendly greeting and helpful staff. My room was very large, very clean but extremely bare. Four bare walls. Not one picture! It was also extremely cold. There were radiators in both the room and the hallway but despite the freezing temperatures these were not turned on. I spent my entire week in my room wrapped up in a pashmina.
My main gripe though was the poor quality of the breakfast. I don’t expect the full English, far from it but what little there was was of the cheapest quality.
The ham and cheese plate were processed foods and the yoghurt the sweetest, most synthetic type you can buy. Two plain cakes and two jam tarts made up this breakfast. The only fruit available were Golden delicious, tasteless and boring. Boring no and beige does indeed sum up the breakfast and with so few guests it would have been expected for me to be offered real
Coffee rather than from a machine.
Since the breakfast was so poor I didn’t once opt to eat in their restaurant, fearing much of the same.

Good hotel

We stayed only one night and was very impressed with this venue. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were able to check in at 10.00
The rooms and bathroom is very modern and spacious. Good location and wifi.
The breakfast was also very good.
Reel value for money.
You can't go wrong.

Comfortable hotel in a good location.

This hotel is pretty central to the old part of town, surrounded by plenty of food options.
We came in from the wrong entrance but were quickly greeted and shown to our rooms. Our room was on the second floor and there are no lifts, so beware you will need to carry your luggage up & down stairs.
Our room was a good size, just enough space to open luggage.There is a queen sized bed, air conditioning, and small flat screen TV. There is a window with a view over the town.The bathroom is small, with a bidet and small shower (which has good heat & pressure. Unfortunately the hotel uses very thin towels more like sheets, which are uncomfortable if you are not used to them.
Breakfast was included and was OK, some cereal and pastries mainly.
