A new experience in Naples
The location is perfect, not far from the historical center and the Spanish Quarter. The hotel is located in the 16 th century building. We were upgraded because of the scaffolding in front of the our room and we prolonged our stay as well. As Toledo st is very noisy, it was rather quiet in the room. The staff is very friendly and professional( Ester and Mauritso are the best). The hotel communicates through What's app perfectly and provides with all sort of information ( transportations, restaurants)

Not as expected and hoped.
We were there at the end of May for three nights, on the recommendation of acquaintances. A junior suite with a balcony was booked. Upon arrival, we were placed in the annex building; the room was okay, but small and far from a junior suite. When we complained the next day, everything was either full or more expensive, then there was a relocation, which was larger but completely barricaded by scaffolding, gloomy, and although apparently still quite fresh after renovation, already quite run down. Little of the charm that the 'Palazzo' promises and partly offers, unfortunately not for us.

Relais della Porta: charm, cleanliness, and hospitality in the heart of Naples.
We stayed at Relais della Porta, and the experience was truly excellent. The property is in a perfect location, right in the center, on Via Toledo, ideal for exploring Naples on foot and easily reaching the main points of interest. The relais is housed in a historic building, with elegant, well-kept, and charming spaces.
The room was very comfortable and especially spotless: the bathroom, linens, and common areas were impeccably maintained. We also greatly appreciated the breakfast, which was varied, pleasant, and served in a truly picturesque setting.
A special mention goes to the departure moment: at the reception, we found two prepared, friendly, and very helpful young women who left us with an excellent final impression. This was an important detail because the welcome and final farewell contribute significantly to the overall memory of a stay.
Overall, Relais della Porta is a property we recommend without hesitation: central location, impeccable cleanliness, excellent breakfast, elegant environments, and kind and professional staff. A stay to remember and definitely to repeat.

Beware!!... I booked a room at Relais Della Porta and was put in a room at the inferior hotel next door (Relais Ammira) which I believe is the same owner. After 22 hours of travel, I was exhausted and didn't want to deal with it in the moment. The next day I was told that the room they gave me was bigger than the one I booked and had a jacuzzi tub. (I have no interest in a jacuzzi tub.). I booked a hotel with charm, and I got a hotel that felt like a dormitory. Ammira has NO charm. Since I was only staying 2 nights, I was not interested in changing rooms but would have appreciated some form of compensation, which they refused. I overpaid for what I got, I did not get the room I booked, and I definitely feel swindled.

Beautiful atypical place
Beautiful place, atypical but that’s a bit what we expect in this city. Full of charm. Room is good but be careful about the cleanliness of the bathroom. Breakfast is good and plentiful. Paid minibar is a bit stingy considering the price of the room. But I still recommend spending time here, it’s a wonderful experience.
