The lady manning reception spoke excellent English and she was very welcoming and efficient. The air con had a problem but she offered to move me to another room and she gave me lots of great advice. I also liked the waiter in the bar downstairs. Unfortunately, it closed at 8 pm every night.

Hotel chosen for its location: you don't even exit the station, just turn left (after the Eccellenze Italiane store) and it's right at the end, convenient for taking the train and the metro (5 stops and you arrive at Via Toledo).
We arrived early and the room was reluctantly given to us even though we had called the day before to notify.
The first room had a non-functioning air conditioning unit and the shower was leaking, so it was replaced: it was clean, with a safe and a minibar with some drinks, a television, and mini hygiene products, fairly quiet.
The breakfast was poor and uninviting: a dry croissant, two cakes, toasted bread with packaged jams, eggs, and ham. (The photo you see of Binario Calmo is a nearby bar with a lot of offerings).
An excellent base for a short weekend, so my score is average.

Stellar experience at the Stelle!

We’ve just returned from our best holiday in years after staying at the Stelle hotel, a great base located near the central bus and rail terminus giving options on exploration of Naples and further afield.
The room was comfortably equipped, cleaned daily, including the provision of fresh towels. The breakfast provided was wide ranging and very filling.
We’d like to thank Dario, who first greeted us at reception, his desk colleagues, the staff in the breakfast room and all the cleaning staff. Were we to return, we’d happily stay at the Stelle hotel again.

Good but not great

I was in Naples with a group of foreign friends and I chose the hotel for its strategic location, near the station. The area is fine and practical, but going in alone at night is not the best. In group of 2-3 people is by day no problem.
The hotel is very clean, the structure is new, it is accessible. Breakfast is normal, with good croissants, fresh fruit, wide choice.
The weak point of the hotel was a couple of staff: a woman didn’t even mention a smile to pay her and responded to our requests as if she were doing us a favor. Even the breakfast guy “want to work jump on me” and with the attitude of someone who is doing you a favor to be there. I would advise these people to leave their frustrations at home because no one wants to treat them like slaves: but they welcome, and I did not feel welcomed at all. If I have to have a crooked face in return to answer my requests, I don't want to go back to this place

5 Stars the staff and 3 at the hotel

Once it was perhaps worth 5 stars, today at most 3! The service and staff are excellent, always ready and helpful throughout! The hotel is clean and well maintained, but there are unacceptable things: the rooms and bathrooms are cramped, a small TV with only digital terrestrial channels; breakfast really limited, for a 4 star hotel. Finally, the location, certainly very central, but near the Naples station, which like all Italian stations, has become a meeting place for poor drifters, junkies, clochards, so moving really becomes a risk! Fortunately, there is an acceptable dining area inside the hotel!
