Also the third successful stay in 2025

For the third time in 2025, we visited the Hanswirt, this time also at the turn of the year. Since we have already evaluated the hotel before, we want to put the focus on the restaurant and the cuisine this time.
Both the breakfast and dinner were again at the highest level and consistently outstanding. We would particularly like to emphasize the excellent and attentive service during this stay. Already at breakfast, our preferences were addressed prospectively – our preferred coffee specialties as well as the egg dishes were brought to the table quite naturally and with a lot of attention. This personal touch makes all the difference and makes you feel completely welcome.
Another absolute highlight was the kitchen party on 30.12. It is always nice to get in touch with the kitchen and service staff in a relaxed atmosphere and to have a look behind the scenes. The excellent wine selection and the great Grand Cru champagnes, which have rounded off this evening culinary perfectly, have once again been particularly positively remembered.
New Year's Eve was just as excellent and very professionally organized. The eight-course menu convinced both qualitatively and quantitatively across the board. Each course was finely tuned, creative and of high quality craftsmanship. The bar also did a great job that night and contributed significantly to the successful atmosphere.
All in all, it was a wonderful end to the year and at the same time a perfect start to the new year. Culinarily we can recommend the Hanswirt without restriction and are already looking forward to our next stay in autumn!

A great disappointment overshadows the positive impression of a very lovingly maintained hotel.

Due to a self-inflicted error, a double booking occurred. We were not aware of this. We learned this at check-in, and we were informed that it would be taken care of. We have no reason to worry.
The stay we had on-site did not include dinner. We dined at the hotel on two evenings and paid for this on-site at check-out.
At home, a few days later, there was an unpleasant surprise with a credit card charge for the double booking from Booking.com. With this unclaimed booking, dinners for both persons would have been included for three evenings.
I first tried to cancel the double booking. Unfortunately, this was no longer possible and is likely due to my own fault. However, it is not correct that the hotel does not refund the dinners paid on-site. I am talking about around 450 euros. After all, these would have been included in the other arrangement, which cost me a total of 1,339.80 euros and is simply lost.
Unfortunately, the hotel did not show any willingness to accommodate, and my last attempts to contact them went unanswered. Very disappointing!

That's great!

With my family I stayed at this beautiful property in the first week of August. I have frequented several hotels in various areas of South Tyrol but in no hotel have I found such a high level of professionalism and passion in all the staff. You immediately feel at ease, pampered by environments rich in history and suites furnished with extreme taste and equipped with all comforts. The restaurant, in addition to offering dishes prepared with mastery and originality with excellent raw materials, can count on very cozy and furnished with rare taste and refinement, which reflect the fascinating history of the structure that dates back to 1300. Quiet and well-kept wellness area, heated indoor and outdoor pool and generous size, especially in relation to the size of the hotel which has only 22 rooms. This last aspect is certainly one of the (many) strengths of the structure: all the spaces and services are oversized to always ensure great tranquility and relaxation.
Cleanliness of all environments and care of large green areas are almost manic.
What can I say, a location from which you would no longer want to leave. Very good, everyone.

A very special hotel, absolutely recommendable

The hotel has a very special ambience in South Tyrolean style but with the latest equipment and a particularly excellent kitchen. The large garden has a great pool and relaxing areas to lounge. The location in the middle of the Vinchgau near Merano is also very good, but what is particularly outstanding is the special kitchen performance and the very friendly service. The hotel is definitely worth the longer journey!
