We booked the Grand hotel Di Parma for a weekend getaway- the hotel is simply stunning, old world charm with impeccable service, discreet yet there when needed.
We were fortunate to have beautiful weather so we spent some time on our terrace with coffee and pastries- the whole experience was just what we needed and we will be back.

An elegant, older hotel that is very well maintained, has very large and comfortable guest rooms. It is located about a 15 minute walk from the center of town. We would certainly stay there again!

terrible restaurant

The most TERRIBLE dinner of my life. Old and unseasoned tuna, elements layered at random, paccheri in a gray slop (literally in broth). Tremendous. Choose two slices of prosciutto

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are gracious and showers are massive. Free breakfast was very substantial and we were well looked after.

A fine experience

Parma had always been on our bucket list and we stayed at this hotel as part of our trip travelling around Italy. The hotel itself was stunning, clean and the breakfast lovely. We had a room with a balcony which was nice in the sunshine, following our visits in the area. The aircon could have been improved, as it did cut out regularly during the night, which was an issue for us given the heat. While only small, we asked for an iron, which the hotel couldn’t provide. They offered to arrange for someone to iron for us, which came at quite a significant fee, which was a shame as we were very happy to do our own. We received complimentary water upon arrival; however, this wasn’t topped up during our 3 night stay, leading to us purchasing our own - again small, but did impact our experience.
Location was fine, a 20 minute walk into the centre to where restaurants and bars were.
Overall, our stay was fine, with small elements that could have been improved.
