Hotel FANTASTICO

Hotel a pochi passi dalla spiaggia, consigliato da alcuni amici e insieme a mio marito e i miei ragazzi abbiamo voluto provare visto che sul Gargano non eravamo mai stati. La struttura è composta da una parte centrale e una parte più nuova. La reception sempre disponibile e gentile anche a richieste assurde! La parte migliore è sicuramente la cucina, con prodotti di qualità e cucinati divinamente ( si ingrassa 7 kg in 7giorni). Animazione brava e non invadente
Sicuramente torneremo

Not quite 4 stars

The room was quite nice, nothing was missing. Beds were comfortable, the room and the bathroom were spacious, so was the balcony. The yard is well kept, there are nice pools in front of the hotel. What appealed to me most were wonderful views of the town, which is located on a cliff and is really picturesque. The roof terrace looks promising - a place for parties, shows, concerts? So far, so good.
What really did not reach four stars was the food. Dinner was generally OK, with a choice of four main courses. But everything except the soup was quite cold, although we were not late. Breakfast was a catastrophe. It started late, the guests were not allowed to touch anything. (All right, covid, I know, but sometimes I feel it really comes handy as an excuse). There was a lot of pastry and a little of everything else. Everything was handed by waiters, who were quite impatient and not polite enough. The organization was below standard as we were standing in queues most of the time.
My overall rating is given on the basis of the quality of room, food would be rated lower, not to mention the organization of service.

Mostly good

We were here in late September and most hotels were closed or closing. We had planned on staying 4 days but hotel was closing in 3. There was only one other couple staying here. Our first night we went for dinner and had one of the worst experiences in our more than 10 years of travelling through Puglia. Our waiter was rude, obnoxious, curt, no smiles, brought the wrong order and did everything to make us feel that we were imposing. The other couple got up and left, halfway through their meal. We completed our dinner and complained to Maria Giovanni at the desk. She passed our concerns on to the owners. We did not hear back, but were not charged for the dinner.
The breakfasts were very basic and we had the same waiter who if not friendly was at least less rude! For the next two nights we walked into Peschici for dinner.
This is a large 5 story hotel. Our room had a balcony and was comfortable. Wifi only in the lobby. There is a rooftop with great views and also a restaurant, lounge, entertainment, and outdoor theatre.
Nice pool. Private area of the beach is 5-10 minute walk.
We would likely return, but would hesitate going to the restaurant.

Faulty Towers!

Just come back from this hotel. Staff especially cleaners are doing a brilliant job considering the state of the hotel itself which in relation to health and safety is pretty bad. I went with my daughter and her family which included a year old toddler and three and a half year old. Firstly the whole hotel needs modernizing but more importantly general repairs need to be sorted out. For example when I arrived the reading lights above my bed were not working and not sorted out till the day before I left. On waking up one morning I looked up and saw that the lamp below the air conditioning fan was spinning around only marginally attached to the whole contraption. I asked for it to be sorted out and it wasn't done till the following day so I had to sleep without the air conditioning and worried that the light might fall off anyway, I slept on the other side of the double bed. There was also a wonky shower which was taken away for repair and replaced but there was still a big gap. My daughter and her partner were supposed to be in a 'family room' which was the same size, if not slightly narrower than mine, a real squeeze. One of the reading lamps in their room was taped up with something so I imagine underneath were bare wires.The family 'play area' consisted of a concreted area outside with one slide, partly broken and a little play house, that was it! There was a good sized tennis court, the only place which was soft underfoot for the kids to play when the weather was not so good. Pity about all the olive pips that my grandson kept trying to put in his mouth. Several times he walked into glass doors and banged his little head and when we mentioned this to the receptionist re stickers she just said that people take them off! On walking up to my room one day I noticed that several of the stair carpet fixtures were broken so anyone could have slipped and fallen. I lived in Italy for many years and I know how laid back Italians can be but it is such a pity as this hotel could be great and really is a bad reflection for this region which is on the up and I know how proud and fastidious Italians usually are about their businesses. The food was a bit hit and miss, great meat and some pasta but the breakfast was awful, dry croissants, biscuits etc and coffee out of a machine. There were no trays to carry food from the buffet area which was odd as you had to keep going back again. One morning we could no longer stand the breakfasts and went up into Peschici to get some real pastries. I have to say that although the place looks like something out of the fifties the cleaners kept our bathrooms spotless. Despite these problems we did enjoy our holiday but it was a constant battle trying to stop my grandson hurting himself.

Orrenda esperienza

Ha alloggiato qui dal 10 al 15 agosto 26
Devo dire che siamo rimasti molto delusi
Ho prenotato una suite con due letti matrimoniali e mi trovo un letto matrimoniale (tra l’altro pessimo mai capitato una cosa del genere) è un letto a castello, la signora del reception anche in modo arrogante mi dice che quello che avevo prenotato non è più disponibile.
Il materasso del letto matrimoniale era con le molle fuori impossibile da dormire ho segnalato ma nessuno ha fatto niente ho dovuto girarla ma le molle erano anche dal l’altro lato
Per fortuna era una SUITE (250€ in più )
Poi per il resto anche peggio
Delusione totale, non so se in malafede o incapaci fatto sta che paghi per quattro stelle inesistenti
Cucina povera e purtroppo scarsa
Niente a vedere con la cucina Pugliese
Posizione più di 400 metri dal mare e bisogna andare in una strada dove passano le auto
Per il momento sono ancora arrabbiato, prossimamente scriverò una recensione più dettagliata, e vedo se trovo qualcosa di positivo da dire anche se non sarà facile
Nel frattempo se avete prenotato vi consiglio di disdire a costo di perdere la caparra
