Nice hotel and good service
The best hotel on Ponza. Nice hotel with really good facilities. Good pool and SPA and lovely restaurant morning and evening. And really good service.
THE last minus was a too hard mattress and then we experienced noise FROM the terraces that was not handled by the staff.
One should be aware that beach EN in the city can not be used for bathing, but that one must take a boat taxi.
And besides pizza, all food at Ponza is seafood. Not super child-friendly if you don't eat this.

Now the negative points
Not one sun umbrella by both pools. Which is ridiculous. I love the sun, and as most will know, we don't get a lot of it in the UK. My husband needs the shade. So we found a shaded bit till 1pm, then he sat on the covered terrace, while I swam and sunbathed by the pool. Not ideal, as we want to spend time together. The lady who was the receptionist at the spa pool was rude. I asked if we could stay longer, as I saw that at 12.00 - 15.00 only a few people was listed, and she said no. Bit mean, as at that time only 2 people had entered, i explained there was no shade at the other pool. And we had shade under a tree. Again we went, we got 2 in the shade, I also moved to one in front, which was in the sun. She wasn't happy, she phoned the manager, as she told me I couldn't have the sun lounger in the sun, as well as the one next to my husband. We all need sun and shade time. She was rude, and made us feel very uncomfortable. The manager was lovely, and understood. She then got the sun lounger in the shade next to Chris, and moved it to the other side of the pool in the sun, very petty. She did Google translate on her phone, explaining why I couldn't have both sunbeds ( can I say plenty of them at the other side of the pool empty). I explained, no, I want to be near my husband. She replied with a very rude comment. Chris and I always keep ourselves to ourselves on holiday. We are always polite to the staff, we are quiet, not rowdy. Both Chris and I was very upset, as felt people was taking about us and certainly got glares that day. We won't be returning. We have been to Ischia 13 times, soon to be 14 times. Never been treated like that

Without delay, to be repeated!
Hotel in the heart of the center, with an elegant yet familiar atmosphere. 2 saltwater pools and a pool with a wellness path that add a touch of magic to the frenzy of an island. Compliments to the entire reception staff and to the manager in the breakfast room, who is attentive to detail. Pleasant aperitif at the pool bar, shuttle service of absolute efficiency. Thank you for your availability and courtesy!

Great location
The location is excellent; it takes only a few minutes to reach the port. The hotel is beautiful, especially the pools with the hot-cold path and the whirlpool. Abundant breakfast with homemade pastries. The staff is extremely courteous and professional, especially the breakfast waiters. Sometimes they get lost in a glass of water (for example, there is no soap for the bidet, which has never happened to me in a 4-star hotel).
However, it is definitely a hotel I will return to.

Ponza, a must-see
A large garden gives you the Welcome escorting you to the entrance of the Reception where the Staff immediately puts you at ease. In the spotless room and 'available every comfort. The hotel has an internal restaurant overlooking a very large garden through which you can access the Calidarium and Frigidarium that is the envy of the ancient Roman baths. In the hot pool made in the cave there are several rooms each with a comfortable jacuzzi. The town centre is within walking distance, but the hotel has a comfortable means of transport.
