The hotel is in a convenient location and relatively clean. The wall is kinda of thin though.

The facts

The hotel is as described but there are a few things you should know before booking. The room was tired and in need of some repairs, very basic but very clean.
The lift is very small and archaic and should you choose not to use it like we did, there are 81 marble stairs to climb mostly without a hand rail. The hotel is perfectly located for easy access to all attractions however, if you want to use the metro the nearest stop Barberini has been out of use for the last 10 months.
The hotel is very small and the reception area is next to room 21, avoid this room at all costs, there are late arrivals most nights and you will be woken up. Last but not least if you are unlucky enough to arrive when the elder of the 2 male receptionists is on duty don't expect much of a welcome, a tad rude would be a fair statement.

Where special and charming hotel...whith a very small old lift up to the hotel. Room was spacious, bathroom ok, but the shower was tiny. Our room, nr 30 had a small balcony as well.

The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a small refrigerator in the room. The room was clean. The location was great with a lot of bars and restaurants close as well as a supermarket. We were disappointed in the breakfast. The coffee was plentiful but the only food was sugar filled pastries. No healthy options or even a piece of fruit. The Metro station next to the property as well as the adjoining two stations were all closed for repair so the Metro was not an option. This made it more expensive to get around town.

Cheap and cheerful

Free croissants
Great location - close to a vibrant street of bars and restaurants.
Cheap
Only downfall was that it took us forever to find the doorway. If you’re looking for a cheap place in a good location then it’s great. However if you want better then I suggest don’t book a 2*????
