Nova Domizia

Best location and reasonable price!
Lovely small hotel, 2nd floor of historical building. Good size rooms! BEST location ! 10-20 min walking from any main sight of Rome! Reception works only daily time, but self check in is easy and well explained in advance. Raffaella works on reception, is very friendly and always gives nice suggestions.

Excellent Location and Courteous Staff, But the Quality of the Room Is Unacceptable for the Price
Overall rating: The central location is the only real strength of this property, supported by the courtesy of the receptionist. Unfortunately, the hygienic conditions and maintenance of the room absolutely do not justify the high cost.
Pros:
Unbeatable position: The property boasts an extremely convenient location in the heart of Rome. Almost all major attractions are within easy walking distance.
Staff: The receptionist was extremely kind and helpful, offering a great Welcoming and support during your stay.
Against:
Inadequate and Dirty Room: The room was remarkably dirty and full of dust. The walls showed signs of wear and tear, including “peddling” and stains, giving a general sense of poor hygiene and maintenance.
Problems in Precarious Bathroom and Maintenance: The bathroom had serious maintenance problems: of the two flush buttons, only one worked. In addition, the shower cable was held in place precariously with tape (scotch), a detail unacceptable for a structure that proposes itself at a certain level.
Bad Price Quality Ratio: The condition of the room in no way justifies the price of almost 900€ spent on the stay. A similar price imposes impeccable standards of cleanliness and maintenance, which in this case have been totally lacking.
In summary: I would recommend this property exclusively for its strategic location and the kindness of the staff. If cleanliness, room maintenance and Price quality ratio are a priority, it is highly recommended to look elsewhere. The quality of the room is deeply disappointing and does not live up to the cost.

Fantastic location
We really enjoyed staying here - to be clear, this is not part of a hotel - it is 4 rooms on a street, so there are no facilities other than the room. That said, it is in an amazing location and we were able to walk to all the attractions that we wanted to see - the furthest being the Colosseum which was a 30 minute walk. The Vatican is 15 mins, Forum 25 mins, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps 15 mins and the Pantheon 5 minutes. The rooms are located on a street where vehicles are not allowed, so it was quiet. Piaza Navona is 100m away and there are literally hundreds of restaurants (99% Italian) within a short distance - Trastevere area was a 25 minute walk and a great fun area full of more restaurants and bars (similar to the Sorbonne in Paris). The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast can be taken at Santa Lucia restaurant across the street and was reasonably priced. Irene, who works at Nova Domizia, was brilliant - recommended places to eat and even arranged a free breakfast in a cafe for my wife's birthday. If you just want a place to sleep when in this stunning city, I can highly recommend Nova Domizia.

Great experience!
Fantastic and convenient location to all major sites of interest in the center of Rome, in one of the most beautiful streets of the capital. Very friendly and attentive staff. The property is equipped with a lift. Room quite spacious and comfortable bed.

The hotel is SOOOOOOOO GROSS
You can't believe how GROSS the bathroom is. We found hairs on the ground, spider & black mold EVERYWHERE in the shower. It is a great health hazard and in America as people with asthma could die from exposure. This hotel should be shutdown immediately. The pics you saw on the website must be taken 20 yrs ago. The kettle in the room has solidified milk and we found out after doing two cups of tea made with it. We got a replacement but this time we are smarter and checked and found all kind of gunk inside. Just thinking about it make me want to throw up. :(
We complained to the staffs about the dismay condition about the room immediately and they were very responsive and apologetic. They offer to change us to any room or give a full refund to move to another hotel. But since we cannot find any other hotel that we can afford in such a busy time in Rome, we can only take 1st option on the second night. The new room is slightly better with less mold and less dust. But we feel cheated as it is no where close to what the pictures on the website depicted. If we were to know the room condition is gonna that bad, I would not stay there even if it is free. With that I think we are rightful to request at the minimal our first night to be refunded but of course they refused. :(
