Wonderful MOUNTAIN TIME OUT

Wonderful mountain break! Arrive and immediately feel good!! Beautiful spa area with stunning panoramic views. Spacious and tastefully furnished feel-good rooms. Attentive and very warm team, from the service, reception to the cleaning fairies. Outstanding culinary delights with culinary delights. An exceptional stay of the extra class that leaves nothing to be desired. We are looking forward to seeing you again.

Dirty, staff not up to the standard of the facility, broken windows!

We are writing mainly about the hotel annexes called ATTO in the center of San Candido, managed by the main Leitlhof facility.
We are very sorry to have to report the matter because the facility would be valid in terms of service offerings and location.
At check-in at 3:00 PM, the apartment we were assigned was very dirty: bathroom with toothpaste splatters on the wall, floor very dirty and full of hair, dust, and lint, kitchen filthy with crumbs in the drawers, dirty trash cans, stains on the wood, and a smelly refrigerator with food residues not removed from entire stays; also consider the bedroom curtains, which were so dusty they couldn't be touched because of how much dust they stirred up, and all this without being able to air out the room! Mechanical ventilation is not enough, I'm sorry! Keep in mind that there were 4 of us, including a woman 8 months pregnant and a person with a disability and chronic asthma! We immediately reported it to the Leitlhof reception, which arranged to send someone for cleaning, a lady who arrived at 5:30 PM, a full two hours after check-in, who cleaned the apartment scandalously right before our eyes; she was about to clean the kitchen with the same sponge she had used to clean the bathroom, but we stopped her; the floor was vacuumed hastily and "cleaned" with a mop soaked in a bucket with a few centimeters of water and a few squirts of bathroom cleaner in it! Long story short, we bought everything necessary and took care of cleaning the apartment ourselves, deep cleaning everywhere! Another issue to report: the apartment windows could not be opened (only tilted); the only French door to circulate air was the one in the living room... the tilt-only windows, being very heavy, would close on their own, forcing us to invent a blocking system with objects to have a minimum of fresh air circulation. In the afternoon, we couldn't stay in the apartment because the temperatures inside reached nearly 30 degrees! When we protested and asked to be able to open the windows completely, we were given answers like: the windows are not designed to be opened (which is not true because in previous years they opened just fine) or "the windows have a problem that will be solved in October" or even "the windows are dangerous when opened completely and could fall." We asked to be moved to an apartment where the windows could be opened, and so we packed our bags again to move, only to discover that the apartments offered had the same problem; in fact, they were even hotter because even more sun filtered inside, and it felt like being inside a greenhouse! At that point, we raised our voices because it seemed like too much to endure! They provided us with fans! Then, the icing on the cake, Ms. Marion at the reception treated us like unwanted guests, writing to us that we had raised our voices aggressively and, in a full 3 emails, that we could just leave with a right to a refund if their solutions did not satisfy us, even sending us the Booking link!! During the week of Ferragosto, it was impossible for us to find a solution suitable for our needs in the center of San Candido, but these provocations were precisely the reason for my review! Ms. Marion's insistence and affront were completely out of line! Considering the inconvenience caused not only by having lost the entire afternoon of our arrival but by having had to clean it ourselves due to the negligence of the staff and those who should supervise them, raising our voices was the least we could do; we also spoke with other people who always stay in high-level facilities in San Candido and they told us that they would never have accepted such a condition! We also work in the hospitality field, and cleaning must be checked by a housekeeper or a manager! Not to mention that windows that could be a danger must be secured immediately, otherwise, facilities should not be rented out in such conditions!

Spa treatment worthy of a 10 out of 10

I was not a guest of the hotel; it was recommended to me by friends. My back was locked up and I found Alessandra, who treated me with care and professionalism and definitely restored me.

Truly ancient rooms

As a ten-year customer of this hotel, I was disappointed.
Being a 4-star superior, one expects more, especially from the rooms, many of which are now obsolete and poorly maintained.
In the one assigned this year, the bathroom, perhaps from the 80s, has remained the same, too small, with a shower integrated into the tub, and the glass seal broken.
The same goes for the room access door, with the spring closure broken and the automatic mechanism not working.
The safe in the closet is simply sitting there, so it is unclear what it is for; as for the wall-mounted one, there is no key.
Although the food and service remain up to par and are the strong point of this property, the approximately €600/day is starting to be really too much for such a neglected property.
It should be noted that I made the reservation at the end of January for August and I pointed out the aforementioned inconveniences as soon as I entered the room, but nothing changed; they simply apologize for it.
Too bad.

Excellent

Here is a hotel that we really liked. Elevated position with a splendid view of the village and Mount Baranci, but less than a kilometer from the center with an uphill road only in the last stretch. Walkable by almost everyone, but the hotel still provides a free shuttle, which is uncommon and a sign of great attention to the customer. Our Nature room is sufficiently spacious, functional, and well-cleaned; there is an excellent garage and outdoor parking, and the staff is always kind and helpful. Breakfast features a large buffet of fruits and savory items, with an open kitchen for freshly prepared egg dishes. The only flaw is the cakes, few and not very inviting. Addressing the weak point of many hotels, even luxury ones, in Trentino Alto Adige, namely dinner, which is too often flat in local cuisine, too heavy or too ambitious, here instead the chef is truly skilled at offering a cuisine that is very intelligently inspired by local tradition but also varied, with a strong presence of fish dishes and attention to providing light and healthy alternatives. The buffet of raw and cooked vegetables is also excellent. Truly commendable. We will certainly return.
