The Castle is located conveniently where the restaurants, cafes, and main piazza are, steps away. The main staff are very pleasant and helpful if you are looking for suggestions. Very nice spot.

A fairy-tale stay in an ancient fortress

We spent a wonderful weekend in this ancient fortress turned hotel, and it was truly a unique experience. The structure is charming, rich in history, and maintained with great attention, without sacrificing modern comforts.
The room was cozy, impeccably clean, and tastefully furnished. The staff was always kind, professional, and helpful, making us feel welcome at all times.
One of the most beautiful moments of the stay was having breakfast and dinner in the lovely square of the fortress: a suggestive and relaxing atmosphere that makes every meal even more enjoyable.
An experience we will remember with pleasure was also the wine tasting organized by the owner. With passion and expertise, he guided us in discovering the territory and its wines, making the moment engaging, interesting, and authentic.
A perfect place for those who wish to indulge in a few days of relaxation, immersed in history, beauty, and hospitality. We will definitely return and recommend it to anyone who wants to experience something special.

A disappointing experience

A medieval fortress it might have been but a comfortable hotel it certainly is not.. yes it’s quaint and an experience but for us far to expensive for what it delivers. 9e for a glass of wine which may have been special but didn’t taste it, 37e for a bottle of rose which again was ok but not that great. Dinner was fine but nothing special my lamb chops were over cooked.
The room/suite was ok but difficult to keep cool with a fan.
The girls at reception were a delight.pre visit information was excellent

A Perfect Tuscan Find.

An outstanding place to spend time. The Fortress is beautiful, a step back in time, and wonderfully updated. Views are exceptional and location is perfect in Sorano and close to Pitigliano and Sovana. The staff meets all need in a warm and most efficient way. Owners Cristiano and Sylvie made us feel truly special. Make sure you ask about the Pitigliano Wine Cooperative and their historic caves! We look forward to returning to this special step back in time. Thank you Sylvie and Cristiano!
