Falkensteiner Hotel is a sporty hotel in Terento, South Tyrol. It offers a 650 m² Acquapura Spa with indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, a gym, 2 saunas and a steam bath. It is 30 minutes to the Kronplatz ski area. WiFi is free throughout.

Loving hotel in the South Tyrolean Alps
I have to confess that I knew this hotel from a vacation from 20 years ago. Maybe that's why it was so easy to feel good again
A smaller hotel in the wonderful. Mountain resort terenten located in South Tyrol. The rooms (though not quite the youngest) give rise to a charm that is hard not to stay right there. The meals were also as years ago of course top. wonderful and lovingly prepared menus that leave nothing to be desired. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.

Much to improve
The property is listed as a four-star hotel, but the overall experience does not fully reflect this rating. The rooms are quite dated and would need a renovation, especially as regards the furnishings. The TV is small and located in an uncomfortable position and away from the bed.
Also absent are some services that, in a structure of this category, should be standard: minibar, kettle with tea, herbal teas or instant coffee but especially the bidet!
The SPA, located on the -1 floor, presents several critical issues. At the entrance there is only a water dispenser flavored with fruit and a herbal tea whose composition is not indicated. The SPA reception is unguarded, making it difficult to ask for information or assistance in case of need. There is a basket with apples (which are also very good), but the offer is limited to this: there is completely no hot water with herbal teas of your choice, dried fruit or other snacks, elements commonly found in four-star hotels in the area.
The sauna area is poorly maintained: bad smells are perceived and the cleanliness, particularly in the Turkish bath, is lacking. Extra towels are not available for the use of sauna and steam bath sessions. In addition to the bathrobe in the room, only a large towel is provided, which once used to sit in the Turkish bath becomes in fact unusable.
In facilities of the same category there is generally a dedicated area with towels of different sizes specifically intended for the SPA. In addition, there are no scrub rooms, the dressing room is very small and the lockers are not equipped with a key. The only perceptible aroma is that of the Turkish bath.
The pool is pleasant, although small in size.
As for the catering, breakfast is undoubtedly one of the strengths of the structure: a wide choice of sweet and savory, centrifuge machine, quality jams, honey even with honeycomb and a machine for hot drinks that offers a more than satisfactory espresso than average. You can also order espresso or cappuccino directly at the bar.
Dinner, on the other hand, was just enough. The buffet is very limited, with only salads, a bowl of beans and one of green beans. The first courses were anonymous, not very tasty and with hot pasta, although it is possible to request the encore of each course. There is always a choice between meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. The wine list is discreet, but completely unacceptable the price of water: 5.00 euros for a 750 ml bottle: a theft.
During the service it also happens that extra paper towels and spoons are frequently used up at the buffet.
A special mention goes to Francesco at the reception: extremely professional, kind, helpful and always ready to solve the problems encountered. Prepared, smiling and very competent in his role. Sincere congratulations to him, which undoubtedly represents added value for the structure.

Nice short trip to South Tyrol!
Very nice, quiet wellness hotel! It was a very nice short trip to South Tyrol! The staff is extremely friendly and the food excellent as well, the breakfast buffet! The rooms are very clean but a bit old! The surroundings are fascinating! The wellness area is nice and the treatment very good!

Good value for money and friendly Service
The wellness area is highly recommended. There is a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna and a steam bath. There is no red light cabin. Everything is very well maintained. At the drinking station there is flavored water (lemon, lime, mint, ginger) and various teas. Fruit unfortunately only as whole fruit. The drinking vessel for the water is a cardboard cup; however, this can be used several times. There are glass cups for the tea. Unfortunately, no towels are provided. You get ONE! This is changed by the room staff during daily cleaning. That was a big downside for us, because you don't like to dry and/or lay on the towel you've been sitting on in the sauna before. The comfortable terry bathrobe doesn't help much. In the wellness area there is no wifi and also the mobile data leave much to be desired, which did not bother us, however. On the contrary, it was rather pleasant. The rooms are ok. For a four-star hotel a bit worn out, but only for sleeping and showering completely sufficient. Very pleasant we found the laminate floor (finally no carpet). Our view from the balcony was beautiful of the wide meadows and wooded hills. The food is very good and varied. A bottle of wine starts at €32, 0.5 L of beer €6; but the espresso for €2 and the cappuccino for €3.70 are a real bargain. Not on the menu is the tap water, which you get without any circumstances, even refrigerated. Also, the prices at the bar were not exceptionally high. Hot drinks are not included in the 3/4 board. The sweets offered were very delicious. We didn't try the soup. All in all, you can definitely recommend the hotel. Especially if you want to use a wellness area. Terento is small and there was not much going on in our travel time, but there are several short, easy hiking trails that can be reached without a bus or car. For larger tours you have to go by car or public transport to the nearest cable cars.

Holiday with friends!!!
We just stayed at this beautiful hotel with two friends and spent a week of total relaxation and well-being!
The hotel is very nice in the common areas, recently renovated with great taste, the wellness area is beautiful with outdoor and indoor pool with various whirlpools and heated water..... everyone is very kind! The rooms have a slightly dated decor but are very clean and spacious with wonderful views... in spring 2026 they will all be renovated. Breakfast is great and plentiful, there is really everything... dinner is good although not always with traditional dishes of the area!
In conclusion it was a great experience and if we will have occasion we will definitely return to this hotel!!!!
