Wonderful place

My friend and I just returned from a long weekend in Trapani. We picked Pousada Noir kind of randomly because it was pretty cheap and looked ok, but it turned out to have been a really lucky choice - the Pousada Noir is a wonderful place to stay. The cafe bar downstairs was open all the time and, as well as providing great coffee for breakfast, gave instant access to staff who were as kind and helpful as anyone could be. There was always someone around who spoke English and they really went out of their way to look after us, from giving advice on restaurants and directions around town to sorting out bus tickets to the airport and print my boarding pass for me. The room was comfortable, clean and just what we wanted, and entrance was through a delightful old courtyard that had real character. The location was good too - not right in the thick of things downtown, but a nice easy walk away from everything. Perfect, and highly recommended!

Don't go there

To access the rooms you have to go through the bar; the bar stays open until late at night with very loud music and people climbing the stairs leading to the rooms screaming even in the middle of the night; the rooms are dirty, I found used cotton buds on the bedside table, a used plaster stuck to the wall; the bathroom is dirty and old; Daily cleaning is guaranteed in the reservation but this is not true. There is no sound insulation between the rooms and the bar and the warehouse. Always noise. A nightmare...
the positive aspects are the size of the rooms, the position, the possibility of having breakfast or eating in the bar below.

The worst accommodation of my life. Ants and pubic hair on the bed, streaks of brown dirt on the floor (I did not want to imagine what it was), shower that made the fountain on the floor. Owner , I didn't understand if it was a tobacconist, a barista, a receptionist or the owner. After raising the sheets full of sand, we were very lucky to have found immediate availability of another accommodation. The owner / tenant / tobacconist / barman with other friends, was also amazed of the situation room. He feigned a call with a non-existent (because the phone was as if it was off) a waitress who did not do her job properly. Thank goodness it's just a bad memory

nothing special

We had room with very small dirty balcony, bathroom smelled because the building is old so I guess the tubes, plenty of artificial essences around the room were located though. One wardrobe also not fresh. For me 1 night was enough. Also the bar where you check in and check out is not my cup of tea. Our room was to the courtyard so very quiet. If you are with a car, they will show you one big parking place where new houses are built. That was good, although you will need to walk 200 metres and we expected to have car parked really nearby.It is public parking. Whoever can park there. Also the place is close to centrum but in the centrum is not much to see.They provide no map of the town.

Good but........

1. This is a good place for a reasonable price but not a real hotel or B and B. It is located on the second floor of a bar meaning that there is no reception and no one available in case you need something urgent. So I do not recommend this for families with children or people with special needs.
2. There are more than one street with the name "Via Fardella" and the correct one is "Via Batista Fardella" This made us go round and round until we called and confirmed by the bar owner and found it.
3. The water was disconnected in the middle of my shower and took a while to be fixed and this was a bit of hassle.
