Lovely small hotel on a beautiful location
We booked 3 days on this wonderfull location with breathtaking views and only the sound of wind and birds. Staff was very, very friendly in an informal way. Which we like the most. Breakfast buffet was not overwhelming. But definitely more than enough for us and of good quality. One night we had dinner in the restaurant. Outside on the hill top with again this unbelievable view. And the food was as good as the view. Definitely worth trying.
Furthermore we liked the infinity pool very much. A stress draining place with refreshing drinks and delicious snacks.
Why not full 5 stars? Our room was not very spacious. But summers in Marche you live outside. So not the biggest problem. For us the main problem was the lack of airco. There was a mobile airco/ventilation. When we arrived temperature in the room was 31°C. The machine managed to lower it to 28°C after a night working. But as Belgians we're not used to and fond of high temperatures during the night. I must say that airco is not mentioned on their own website. So that's fair. But it is on some booking sites. Can be misleading. Had we known we would not have booked. As we never book without airco. But I must admit I'm glad we did after all. Because we really enjoyed our stay. Absolutely no regrets from our side. :)
Small remark. We found some dog poop on the lawn to our room. We are dog lovers so we can handle. But this is something to pay extra attention to in our opinion. But our mistake is that we forgot to tell the staff. Otherwise they would have taken care of it, I"m sure.
I absolutely want to end this review in a positive way. We love to hike during our holidays. With 3 trails passing Aura Relais this is another plus for us.

The location alone does not make the place.
Beautiful place but unfortunately the room was noisy, the bed that was supposed to be a double was instead composed of two single mattresses but the biggest flaw was the breakfast that could have saved everything, terrible, poor and low quality.

Beautiful and relaxing place. Excellent food. Kindness and helpfulness of the owners and staff. Some difficulty in using the spa due to access by outsiders.

Not a hotel - just a 3-star guesthouse.
We booked your hotel due to the exceptionally good rating of 4.9 points on Booking. Such a rating understandably raises very high expectations for cleanliness, service, and breakfast quality. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met during our stay.
In our opinion, the deficiencies we pointed out in the bathroom are not due to hard water. The photos we took clearly show areas that were not cleaned thoroughly from our perspective. There is a clear difference between limescale deposits and lack of cleaning.
We were also disappointed with the breakfast. When we arrived for breakfast on the first morning, initially no staff member was present. Only after we searched for a staff member ourselves could we even ask questions. Regardless of the number of guests present, we expect attentive service and a breakfast that matches the advertising and the published images in a hotel with a rating of 4.9 points. The actual offering deviated significantly from our perspective.
Especially because the photos on Booking raise high expectations, the on-site experience should match those expectations. Unfortunately, this was not the case according to our perception. For this reason, we consciously skipped breakfast on the second morning.
Undeniably, the beautiful location and the magnificent view of your establishment are commendable. We really liked these two aspects. However, they alone are not sufficient in our view to meet the quality standards of a hotel with a rating of 4.9 points. Overall, our stay resembled more the level of a very nice guesthouse with an excellent view than that of an exceptionally rated hotel.

Regarding the bathroom, we would like to reiterate what was already explained in our previous communication. In our area, the water is particularly rich in limestone and, despite the presence of a water-softening system and the regular cleaning of our rooms, mineral residues may occasionally remain and can be difficult to completely remove.
As we do with all our guests, we would have appreciated the opportunity to immediately address the issue reported during your stay, in order to provide you with a more pleasant experience, either by arranging a new cleaning of the shower or by offering a room change, giving you an immediate solution.
We would also like to clarify a point regarding breakfast. In our previous communication, we never stated that the photographs published did not represent the service provided. Our intention was simply to explain that the buffet is prepared daily according to the number of guests, in order to guarantee maximum freshness of the products and avoid food waste.
Our property offers a continental buffet breakfast, as clearly indicated in the description of our services. Although an English-style breakfast is not part of our offer, during your first breakfast we prepared scrambled eggs for you, and we had arranged to serve you bacon the following morning as well, in order to accommodate your preferences.
Every day, we are committed to ensuring that our guests’ experience lives up to their expectations. The reviews we have received over time are an important recognition of this commitment and, for this reason, we are truly sorry when a guest leaves our property with an impression different from the one we always strive to provide.
We are pleased that you appreciated the location of the relais and the breathtaking view, which are certainly among the strengths of our property, and we wish you all the best for your future travels.
