Wow! We are sooo happy we last minute booked this hotel! We spent a lot of time in all the different pools and even booked a couples massage. I would tell anyone to stay here. Also the breakfast was amazing!

Wish We Had Stayed Longer — A Beautiful Italian Retreat

The Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi was a wonderful surprise and one of the highlights of our trip. I originally booked just one night as a stopover between Switzerland and Italy, but I truly wish we had stayed longer.
The hotel itself is beautiful, set in a stunning historic building with so much character. The thermal baths and spa facilities were the highlight — absolutely unique and unlike anything I have experienced before. Coming from Australia, it was such a special experience to relax in these beautiful surroundings with views of the Italian mountains.
We enjoyed an aperitif, a wonderful dinner in the beautiful ballroom (one of the best meals we had in Italy), and an excellent breakfast the following morning. The spa facilities were exceptional, and the massage I had was probably one of the best I’ve ever experienced.
Our room was comfortable and traditionally styled, with beautiful windows and a balcony overlooking the spectacular mountain scenery.
Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations. A truly unique and relaxing experience — I highly recommend staying here, and next time I would definitely stay longer.

Very relaxing spot and will certainly return. Breakfast was excellent with home baked goods, freshly cooked breakfast, muesli and many other choices. Make sure you book a place at the restaurant in advance, as this was fully booked when we arrived, with the only option available to drive back down to Bormio.

An experience for life!

What an experience! Lovely spa pools in hopetall, delicious breakfast and things room. A little “weary” here and there, but it goes well. Recommended!!!

BELLE EPOQUE IN THE MOUNTAINS!!

The Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi Bormio is a classic Belle Epoque grand hotel high up in the Dolomites. The multiple thermal pools, jacuzzi's, saunas etc are simply brilliant. You are sitting in a jacuzzi whilst gazing at glorious mountains and forests all round. Then there is the hotel itself! Spectacular Belle Epoque period details still intact. The breakfast hall/restaurant is phenomenal! You look up at the ceiling and all around you in sheer wonder and ponder what life was like for the aristocrats who frequented these hotels in the early 1900s. Our room was smallish and dated. Certainly not bad by any means, and it has everything that you need. However, the hotel definitely needs some investment starting from the non descript front desk that is not befitting the quality of what is an incredible grand hotel. Our two nights here were a lot of fun and we certainly enjoyed ourselves, however, unless a significant renovation was to take place, there is presently nothing that would compel us to come again in the short term. Still, if you want a grand hotel in the mountains that is a reasonable drive away from St Moroitz, the Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi Bormio is worth your interest.
