A little gem a stone's throw from San Marco

A truly splendid little hotel, which wins you over right away with its excellent location, the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms, a delicious breakfast, and the great courtesy of all the staff, always kind and helpful.
If you need to stay in Venice, it represents an excellent compromise thanks to the exceptional price-quality ratio, especially considering the strategic proximity to Piazza San Marco, reachable with a very short walk.
Highly recommended for those looking for comfort, hospitality, and an excellent base for exploring the city!

The room is very dated, and the room was dusty and the most uncomfortable bed I have slept on. Come on guys you need to upgrade your beds from the 1970s. The front staff were very friendly

Pros: Location was great, both close to San Marcos square and the water busses. The breakfast consisted of croissants, yogurt and cereal, with milk and juice. The attendant served a great cup of cappuccino! Cons: There are many stairs (full flight at least) just to access the building and no elevators. Had to walk upstairs with luggage and up and down daily. Not necessarily a problem, but those who have mobility issues should beware. Addditionally, it was very hot weather in early July and the air conditioning in our room barely worked to keep it comfortable. No air conditioning was used in the hallways and they were very hot.

A very disappointing experience – Hotel Lux

Unfortunately, our experience at Hotel Lux was very bad and was far behind what we expected.
The main problem was the state of the room. The mattress was in bad condition, with the springs being clearly felt when lying down. It was extremely uncomfortable and made it difficult to have a night of rest.
In addition, we found stains in various areas of the bedroom, including on the floor and walls. The bed patch also had stains, which conveys a very unpleasant feeling regarding cleaning.
In the bathroom, the situation was no better: the main light did not work, and it was possible to use only the mirror light. The shower curtain was torn and full of stains, presenting a fairly weak state of preservation.
Breakfast is also not worth the price paid. The variety is very limited and, due to the value charged, we expected a much more diverse offer.
The only positive thing is really the location, very close to St. Mark's Square. However, a good location does not compensate for the conditions in which we found the room.
We did not expect luxury, but we expected cleanliness, maintenance and minimal comfort conditions. Unfortunately, Hotel Lux did not meet those expectations.
We do not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

We har a lovely one byggt stay. The only thing was that our room wasn’t in the hotell but in a different buildning up the street. Out room was facing the street and the restaurant in the street was serving people alcohol until 2am. So we didn’t get a good night sleep!
Breakfest was typical italian, okay.
The staff was really helpfull and service minded.
The room was clean and really had that venician feeling.
We racommend Hotel Lux!
