Great stay!
Had a great stay at Garner Düsseldorf. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and offered excellent value.
A special mention goes to Diana, whose professionalism, efficiency, and outstanding customer service made a real difference. She was attentive, welcoming, and ensured every interaction was handled smoothly. Her ability to make guests feel genuinely acknowledged and valued is a credit to the hotel.
Thank you, Diana, for making my stay so enjoyable. I would happily stay here again.

Worst customer service ever
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Garner Hotel Düsseldorf – Main Station by IHG has been extremely disappointing.
I accidentally booked the wrong dates (14–15 July instead of 15–16 July). I realized my mistake almost immediately and contacted IHG Customer Service within just a few minutes of making the reservation.
I spent nearly 90 minutes on the phone speaking with four different customer service representatives. Each of them assured me they would contact the hotel and help resolve the issue. None of those promises were fulfilled.
I was then instructed to contact the hotel directly by email. I followed their instructions and sent not one, not two, but three emails. None of them received any reply.
The booking mistake itself is no longer my main concern. What is truly unacceptable is the complete lack of communication, the absence of any willingness to help, and the feeling of being ignored as a customer.
A simple response, even if the answer had been "no", would have demonstrated professionalism and respect. Instead, I received neither assistance nor acknowledgment.
This experience falls far below the level of customer service I expected from a hotel operating under the IHG brand. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Ok hotel but without AC and restless surroundings
The breakfast was good and the personal nice. My room didn’t have air conditioning and the window was broken so I couldn’t open it. I somehow managed to sleep even though I felt being in the tropics, sweaty all night. I don’t understand how this hotel has 4 stars. Also the location is near the railway station, very easy to access but I have never seen so many homeless people, young “ roadmen” selling drugs openly and lots of drug addicts in one place. I was a bit afraid to move around in that area. I wish that the would offer help to those people.

We stayed in rooms 304 and 305 at this hotel, which are directly accessible from the corridor and connected to the emergency stairwell, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
After returning to our room, we discovered that personal belongings were missing. The way the situation was handled by the reception staff was even more disappointing. Instead of showing concern and providing assistance, our concerns were largely dismissed.
We were travelling with three children and, following this incident, no longer felt safe or comfortable staying at the hotel. What should have been a pleasant family trip turned into a stressful and upsetting experience.
Guests staying in rooms such as 304-305, 404-405, and similar room layouts on other floors that are directly accessible from the corridor and connected to the emergency stairwell should take extra precautions with their valuables and immediately report any suspicious activity.
The hotel management should seriously review its security procedures, guest safety measures, and staff training regarding incident handling.
That said, because Hotels.com was unfortunately unable to provide any assistance, the hotel manager made an effort the following day to help resolve the situation by arranging a nicer and safer room for us.
While we appreciate the manager’s attempt to assist us, the original incident and the way it was initially handled left a lasting negative impression.

Very centrally located, the surroundings are not really family friendly. Lots of night life around it.
