Cosy and warm place to stay
SUPER cozy little B&B like little house warm welcome even if you come late at night like i did
Soo beautiful and very warm.
Please take your time to visit this gem it has so much to offer next to the big market place very close by.. they have all the soul and love you need to feel welcome and there is a big smile from the staff when you smile to them

Sleepless in Seattle? Sleepless in Happy City!
Sleeping was impossible at night. More on that later.
How did the landlady respond to the constructive criticism of a female overnight guest: "There are people you just can't do anything right for." Whether the landlady's reaction was all that professional is debatable. The little Muck in July 2023 didn't do anything right for us either.
As cyclists, we had booked an overnight stay without breakfast weeks in advance. We were tried countless times to sell us the "best" breakfast, which we always refused because we like to cycle off early and have something to eat later.
Even if the price of €98 without breakfast for one night is hotel level - it's not a hotel, it's just a guest house. So there was no one there when we arrived. We pressed a bell and a voice from off-screen answered. As long as no car drove past loudly or the connection was lost again, it worked reasonably well.
The rooms are indeed very individual. Some say loving, others say something else. It's a matter of taste. Our room? See photo 1.
In photo 2 the very small bathroom. In the bathroom there is the visibly large toilet cleaner. The shower on the left is exactly as small as it looks. Amazingly, there are wooden panels above the wet room.
In the shower itself there was an empty soap dispenser. Above that was a men's shampoo, see the other photos. There was no shampoo for women. The guest may have forgotten it beforehand. The bathroom wasn't too clean, see also the photo of the trash can under the bathroom. No idea what the brown greasy stuff was - we prefer a clean bathroom.
We hardly slept at night. This was partly due to the noticeably soft mattresses in which we both collapsed. It was also due to the noise:
From around 10 p.m. it got very loud in front of the guest house. There is a snack bar opposite. People who were running the snack bar sat on the seats in front of the Muck guest house and talked loudly for hours in a language unknown to us.
In order to find out from around 1 a.m., we had to open the windows at night. In the bathroom, the sink was in the way, see photo. And in the bedroom, it only worked when all the stuff was removed from the windowsill.
Even at 4:28 a.m., the men were sitting in front of the door and calling upstairs, "We live here." At around 5:30 a.m., the men finally went to their snack bar. Quiet night at the Kleiner Muck in Glückstadt? Unfortunately, not for us.
We tried to sleep a little longer, only to be woken up a little later by a pungent smell on the upper floor. It turned out that the landlady was kind enough to fry grilled cheese for a guest.
She told us that a lady on the ground floor had also been unable to sleep because of the noise. She had already received something in writing from her, with which she would run to the public order office after breakfast.
She had already been to the public order office many times because of the commercial neighbor with whom she had been in dispute for a long time. The landlady did not give a very positive report about the public order office, which she felt had let her down. But she was not entirely objective. We felt sorry for her, because with her emotional manner and rather strange arguments she will certainly not achieve much with the public order office. We certainly felt very sorry for her.
My wife was repeatedly held up a notepad and ballpoint pen, so that she could finally put what had happened that night in writing for the public order office. Whether women like that or feel pressured and uncomfortable is another question. In any case, we just wanted to pay and leave.
Pay with a card? Only cash. The landlady offered to email the bill and promised to professionally accommodate the price with a discount. So far, so good. At first.
Hours later, there was a *ping* and the email with the bill arrived. We looked with interest to see how much the discount was. Only to be disappointed to find out: there was no discount. Was that all that honest? No matter, we immediately transferred the €98.00 (without breakfast). We also sent an email and waited two weeks in vain for a friendly response.
Our conclusion: If we book an overnight stay, we want to enjoy a good night's sleep. There are two other cycle paths through Glückstadt. Since Glückstadt is very nice, we will definitely stay there again. Then we will book somewhere else earlier so that we don't have to rely on the Kleiner Muck again. So that afterwards we can say:
Slept well in Glückstadt!

Kind of romantic hotel
Near the city centre. Parking close by but you need a blue parking card. Parking max 2 hours close by. Had room nr 3. First floor. It's an old house so wooden floors which do make noise. Bed was good. Room was warm and because the staff of the restaurant opposite, was a lot outside, we couldn't have the window open. There's some sort of airco. But we don't like to sleep in a draft. The room and the hotel as the garden are very nice and a bit romantic. The hotel is run by a lovely lady. Breakfast was really good. Fresh fruits, different ones. Boiled and scrambled eggs. Several cheeses and cereals. Coffee or tea. And several different kind of buns. What was, in a positive way, was the nice floral smell in this hotel.
Would we go back. Yes.

suuuuuuuuuuuuuuper !
super unterkunft, zentral gelegen, sehr saubere Zimmer mit liebe eingerichtet und gepflegt, sehr freundliche gastgegerin, ruhige zimmer mit allem was man benötigt, es gibt dort auch frühstück von dem auch alle gäste begeistert waren, 1A und gerne wieder.

Kurzurlaub
Eine nette Pension, und eine ganz liebe Vermieterin.Wir kommen gern wieder,auch der Garten war wunderschön. A. O Glückstadt ist eine zauberhafte Stadt. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut.Wir könnten im Garten frühstücken
