A family atmosphere in a royal abode
As soon as you enter this palace you feel like you are stepping back in time and yet with the modern touch and attention all the way.
My bedroom was huge, full of this wonderful atmosphere of days gone by , yet with a new modern bathroom. It was on the ground floor by the terrace which opens onto a spacious area full of flowers with seats to relax and all lit up at night where the buffet dinner was served. Delicious homecooked food with vegetables from their own garden. There is a swimming pool, and if you venture further a proper farm with cows, chicken, goats and horses and vegetable plot .
A little paradise on earth so peaceful and relaxing.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bhanwar Vilas Palace, and honestly, it felt like stepping into a different era in the most beautiful way.
The palace has this old-world charm that you just can’t fake—every corner tells a story. The architecture is stunning, with intricate details and a royal vibe that makes the whole experience feel special without being over the top. At the same time, everything is maintained really well, so you get comfort along with heritage.
The staff were warm and polite, not overly formal but genuinely helpful, which made the stay feel very natural and relaxed. Service was smooth, and they were always ready to assist without being intrusive.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and tastefully designed, keeping the traditional aesthetic intact while still being comfortable for modern needs. Sitting in the courtyard in the evening was probably my favorite part—it had such a peaceful and calming atmosphere.
Overall, it’s a perfect place if you want a quiet, elegant stay with a touch of royalty. Not too flashy, just beautifully authentic. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Bikaner.

Rest and luxury assured
A few nights rest in this palace of the 30s with more than fifty rooms. About forty cows stay at the dairy surrounded by several peacocks and parakeets. Our white marble room is huge, bed xxxl, all the comforts except the shower water which is limited as in the region (about one to two hours of water per day) and this despite the huge tanks. We met the marahani who lives in this area while her husband still lives in the old palace. Coming for three nights to rest and enjoy the pool in the heat, emptied of its contents it is under construction. During the wedding season it is difficult to sleep at night with music every night until morning. The meals are okay but not extraordinary. The staff is nice but watch us a little in this park and the vegetable gardens.

Fabulous
Huge palace built in 1930s with all the original paintings and furniture. The renovation has retained all its character and avoided turning it into an American style luxury hotel, thankfully. The hosts were charming and most interesting. We loved looking around the farm but the City Palace tour is the absolute highlight - leave plenty of time for it. The museum within has excellent English signage so we learnt a lot. Most amazingly the Maharani is on a clean up campaign so some of the town streets were free of litter, and the City Palace spotless.

An historic experience
We had a wonderful night at the palace. It included a walking tour to the city palace and Krishna Temple with Abhishek. The staff were very attentive, the food superb and the atmosphere spectacular. We toured the grounds after breakfast. A must stay on your way to Agra.
