The restaurant is worth the trip!
Things are a bit tired and the skylights mean you don't get to sleep-in, but it is good value for money. High level of cleanliness.
The breakfast was exceptional (best in four weeks in Europe) and the evening meal in the restaurant was also excellent and above expectations.

not what i expected
Hotel was a derelict shell which was renovated with a lot of love care and pride. Unfortunately that was some time ago. Since the renovation things have slipped. There is a lift to all 3 floors but it doesn,t work. Not out of order just doesnt work and blocked off!!
Rooms are tired- carpets worn to a polish seeking every drop of life out of them. All rooms on 3rd floor are attic rooms meaning limited headroom and dormer style windows all without curtains !! OK if you like daylight flooding in at 5:30. We opted for the grand titled apartment (room 12). Not an apartment but a room with the addition of a settee. Not impressive. Floor had collapsed along 1 wall. Radiator was leant against the wall. Telephone was just dumped on the floor. Window handles missing.bathroom towel rail hanging off the wall and the toilet not secured to the floor and floor tiles broken.
The hotel has an entertainment room in basement if the noise from that didn't, disturb you then the traffic noise from the comings and goings would.
Restaurant was ok. we were the only diners and it was a first night in Poland so we went with the flow. Heavy stodgy food but well cooked.
Breakfast was a good continental breakfast with a choice of cooked eggs.
hotel looks ideal for weddings etc when the whole thing is booked out but for passing trade needs to up its game.
If management reads this please " up your game" smarten the place up and maybe you,ll get the trade you,re looking for.

Na krótki pobyt
Minus za łazienkę - wszystko się w niej rozpada, śmierdzi, światło jak w fabryce.
Hotel nie ma niestety zaplecza gastronomicznego (brak możliwości zjedzenia obiadu, kolacji, kiedyś podobno była tam winiarnia, ale została zamknięta). Trudno też znaleźć w pobliżu dobry punkt, gdzie można coś zjeść.
Hotel jest dobry jako baza wypadowa w góry sowie i inne wycieczki. Sama Nowa Ruda to bardzo smutne miasteczko, biedne, niestety często można spotkać pijanych mieszkańców, awanturujących się.
