Home- Stel, not Hostel.

You know you’re in the right place when you walk in and feel like you’re walking into your own home. Warm people, great laughs and good conversations. Easy access to old town and the lake, and Filip is a great bank of knowledge about Ohrid and the surrounding area. I highly recommend staying there.

Very welcoming stay just 5 minutes from centre

It feels more like a welcoming home then a hostel. The owners went out of their way to make you feel at home, shared their food and had indept information about the greater area of Ohrid. A good mattress and a quit surrounding. I slept like a baby

Dissapointing

Stayed here because this hostel is part of the I Travel Balkan hostel network. I wish I hadn’t. The staff is generally unhelpful and couldn’t answer any questions I had about the city/where to eat/what to see. I found the place a little run down as well.
I was willing to put all of this aside, but I had a terrible night’s sleep as well. Because my room was by the common room and had a balcony, so people were constantly coming in and out to smoke, leaving every door open behind them. This made so my dorm smelt of cigarette smoke and the sound of the loud music made my unsturdy bed shake.
I woke up to a very underwhealming breakfast, to top all of this off.
Other hostel owners have asked me about my stay here, and their comments towards the owner of the hostel, Filip, are very negative as well. He doesn’t abide by the hostel network’s regulations.
Overall, the lack of effort put into this place made for a disappointing visit to Ohrid and I would recommend staying elsewhere.

Made to feel very welcome

I arrived on my Motorbike and was immediately made to feel welcome. I had a choice of beds in a dorm - all with bathrooms right beside them,
Good sized common room and a decent kitchen.
I was invited to go to the beach with the host and a whole group
The location is good- about a 8/10 min walk from the main center.

Backpacker's Haven

The hostel is beautiful and very cozy. You can either lay back and relax in the garden, or have fun by listening to music, palying cards, and chilling with the crew.
The staff is incredible and they truly welcome you as a part of their family. Everything you need, you can find here. I highly recommend Agartha to all travellers from all around the world! This is a home away.
