welcoming stay at mountain view
After driving for a few hours we arrived to the complex via an unworthy road during the evening, which initially directed us to take an unusable road/ track. We did not book in advance however we were warmly welcomed by hosts however their english was limited. We stayed in Feburary ans it seemed there was only another couple staying at the complex. There are many great facilities including spa and large sports hall which was used to full advantage during our stay. We througroughly enjoyed the warm service of the staff and the beautiful surroundings. Google maps directed us down an unfinished road which I hope in future will help other visitors to the hotel.

Wanted to stay longer but checked out after the first night.
We have arrived late in the afternoon and checked into our rooms. The toilet was leaking water on the floor. We have called for the maintenance. Afterwards we were informed that the issue was fixed. We did not go back to check or whatsoever. We wanted to stay outside by the pool and enjoy the mountain’ view. The hotel has an excellent panoramic vies. Good location and an interesting rustic design. Nice size on the swimming pool. Everything on the outside looks just perfect and makes you want to stay.
We stayed and then it all started. The staff had no experience at all, spoke poorly any other language but Turkish, not even Bulgarian! Brought us wrong food when ordered. Food was not bad in taste though. The sunset views were what made it all worth it. There is something like magic in the nature around this place.
Late in the evening we have returned to our room to find out that the toilet was still leaking. The bed sheets were dirty. The room was a little filthy overall. This is when we have decided that we would like to check out on the following morning.
Next day we woke up early planning to check out, have breakfast and prepare for a long day travelling. At reception desk was an old man who had no idea how to deal with credit card' payments. We were informed that we had to breakfast and wait for half an hour until the reception duty comes from the city. In 40 minutes the receptionist was still nowhere to be seen. Another girl was woken up to come and charge us. And to top it all the mother of the owner, an older woman helping to clean up the swimming pool area was all time blaming everybody as "lazy and unwilling to work" as the reason of their understaffing at the location.
To sum it all up, the hotel is excellent, the idea behind it as well, it just needs a new management or owned, either way that will make it function as a successful operation.

Not worth the effort to go!!
The view from the Rodopa mountain is not enough to compensate the poor quality from the hotel.
The room was big but the beds they were awful. Slept very bad. At least was clean the room.
In the toilet the things were falling apart.
Breakfast, well is better not even worth to speak about it. A total disaster.

Very nice stay
Very nice stay in the complex (хотел Планински изглед) with excellent view in Rodopa mountain. The road to the hotel is not good, but it worths going there. Rooms are spacious and quiet (except the noise from the nearby mosque early in the morning). The design and interior of the hotel is made really good and with taste. The parking is big enough. Heating in this time of the year was a necessary one and was ok. There is an interesting collection in the lobby and many other places of old military appliences and interesting retro (communist time) antiques (LADA, motorcycle) in the sports hall. The food was good and delicious. The service was welcome and friendly.

Die abgeschiedene Lage und die Fotos auf booking.com haben uns dazu verleitet das Hotel zu buchen.
Der erste Eindruck von außen war positiv und der Ausblick auf die Berge mit dem Pool davor war wirklich schön.
Sobald man jedoch ins Hotel hinein geht, fühlt man sich von der Einrichtung erschlagen. Alles ist sehr dunkel und wirkt erdrückend und die Teppiche haben schon mal bessere Zeiten erlebt.
Das Zimmer war groß und sauber, jedoch waren das schon die einzigen Pluspunkte. Die Matratze war so weich, dass ich nicht gut geschlafen habe und im Badezimmer dürfte irgendwo zwischen WC und Dusche etwas undicht gewesen sein (dort stand immer eine Pfütze). Der Wasserdruck ließ auch zu wünschen übrig und wenn man sich nach dem einseifen erst 10 Minuten später wieder abduschen kann weil plötzlich gar keine Wasser mehr kommt, ist das auch nicht lustig.
Das Abendessen auf der Terrasse mit wunderbaren Blick über die Berge war jedoch sehr gut und das Personal bemüht. Viel Englisch darf man sich auch nicht erwarten aber von der Kellnerin dafür Deutsch :-).
Das Frühstück war OK (aber das darf man in Bulgarien generell nicht zur Bewertung heran ziehen).
Das Hotel müsste general überholt werden dann würde es vielleicht wieder so aussehen wie auf den Fotos!
