Lovely place

Such a lovely place. Rooms are cute and comfy. Lovely view. Owners are so nice and welcoming. Great breakfast and converstion. Dont miss this place if you are travelling the Cabot Trail.

Not suitable for non-smokers.

If you are a non-smoking person then this place is not for you.
When we entered our room it smelled heavily of cleaner. I immediately thought 'what are they hiding'. We opened the windows to get rid of the chemical smell. After supper, when we returned, we could smell stale cigarette smoke, the kind from long term contamination, and mildew. We had to sleep with the windows open when it was cold outside. There were no controls for heat. It was like camping. The floor sloped so your head is lower than your feet. The carpet was gross. The pilows were hard, the bed was mediocre, the headboard was painted metal. The metal was chipped off in an odd way (handcuffs? Lol).
I will give them credit for a clean bathroom.
I ended up with a migraine from the horrible smell so we left early in the morning.
If you are a smoker, and do not mind gross carpet, then it should be fine for you.

Cabot Trail Hidden Gem!

This beautiful old Inn is set on a hill on a small bay. The view from the upper porch and the dining room are breath taking. You can hear the winds roaring thru the trees and watch them dance across the water while sipping wine on either of the outdoor porches. We loved the upper one! The decor is peaceful, quaint and Island. The Hosts are amazing! Mike provided us with a well written itinerary of great viewing points along the Cabot trail, and Tracy told us about artisans shops and the Coastal Loop.

Ah communication

Proper stop but far from everything for meals or supplies.
Home very difficult because the boss could only communicate thanks to her translator, because my English was too basic for us to understand.
Decent room and location at the park gate.

super host, great experience

We stayed in the cabin for a ski weekend at Cape Smokey. Accommodations were excellent, breakfast included which was fantastic. The host were very accommodating and the facilities at the cabin were second to none. no issues and location to the hill excellent. we will return.
