Stunning Location!
This was our first stay at the Westin Bayside, Vancouver. My husband and I stay one night on our way to Tofino and one night on our way home for the past 3 years…so it’s the bookend of our vacation and this was by far the BEST location we’ve stayed at and we WILL be coming back. The view was spectacular from our room and the location at the marina is PERFECTION! Especially since we bring our smallish pup. We felt so welcome and the dog bed, dog cookie and poop bags were well received by US and our pup. Thank you!
Our only disappointment was when we went down to have dinner on the patio with our pup only to find out that NEITHER of their restaurants even allow pups on their PATIO! And the hostess was slightly rude about it.
It would have been nice if they had said “sorry, we can’t allow dogs in our restaurants (even on the patio), but here is a list of friendly restaurants nearby”OR considered allowing pets on a small part of their patios (like the restaurant, Cardero’s).
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend.

Great hotel, better service!
This is a beautiful hotel with amazing views to the harbor and the mountains. We arrived to check in on Friday 4/24 at around 9:30 am after we disembarked our cruise ship; we checked in expecting that we were just going to store our luggage and come back later to receive our room keys but the front desk clerk went out of his way to find us an available room and he did! (I now regret not asking for his name). He was super friendly, super helpful and informative and we were able to go to our room immediately, talk about hospitality! I think this has been the best and most pleasant experience we’ve ever had checking in to a hotel!
The room was large with great views and the bed was super comfortable.
The hotel is located in a prime location easy to walk or bike to landmarks or quick uber or taxi ride if you’re not into walking.
We are definitely staying here again when we come back to Vancouver.

What a gem of a property! My husband and I did a staycation here and had a lovely room overlooking the pool and ocean. It was magical. The pool is the best outdoor pool in the Lower Mainland. The views are spectacular and the location is second to none. Can’t wait to return 💓

Terrible bathroom
Not my idea of "luxury", and certainly not worth the money I paid. Shower did not have a door. Water sprayed all over the bathroom. After my shower, I needed to use bathtowels to dry the toilet and sop up the lake on the entire floor of the bathroom--then call housekeeping to please collect the soaking towels and deliver more towels to use for subsequent showers. This is terrible design that ignores the user experience for a sleek visual appearance. I say this as a professional in architecture and design.

Excellent staff
We stayed here for two nights at the end of our Canadian adventure, in a great location near the Coal Harbour and Stanley Park. It's very easy to walk to downtown and/or on to the aquarium/park. Our clean and comfortable room overlooked the harbour, which was a pleasure to see at the end of our journey. We thought it might be noisy, but it was very peaceful.
Our rate included breakfast, so we had the buffet breakfast on the first morning which was excellent. On the second morning, the hotel was so busy that we were being quoted a wait of an hour to be seated, so we went elsewhere. Staff were very apologetic and actually it's the staff who tried their very best all the time, being limited by their resources.
There are two lifts/elevators which serve the main building, but one of them was out of service for the entire duration of our stay. Thankfully, we are capable of climbing stairs as an alternative, but for some people it meant a long wait for the one working elevator.
In summary: come here for the staff and the view, but don't expect to get breakfast if it's a busy weekend. And certainly ensure that you're able to climb stairs!
