Excellent hotel
Baltazar hotel is an excellent alternative if you want to visit Budapest, very well located, on the hill of the castle, next to the building of the national archives. Very well connected, just by taking bus number 16 you were already on the bridge to cross to Pest. The rooms are good size, very clean, with good bedding. Look, the bathroom isn't very private if you're going with someone you're not so confident with. L'Occitane shower products are very much appreciated. Very friendly staff and restaurant with very good food. The only problem I found is that they closed the kitchen for breakfast very early, but the rest was excellent. A 100% recommended hotel.

Nice, quiet, clean and styled, requires higher maintenance.
The room is very clean, very beautiful and inviting. However, there is a problem with the doors in the room: the doors of the bedroom and the shower do not close, in addition they are made of transparent glass with a slight blur - a fact that very disturbs privacy or intimacy, the curtains do not hang properly.
In the hallway before entering the room, there's a constant, unpleasant smell.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff. Very comfortable rooms. Delicious breakfasts. A very good base for exploring Budapest. Highly recommended!

Great location!
We loved our stay at Baltazar Boutique Hotel, perfectly located near by the Buda Castle overlooking Pest, yards away from a well served bus stop. We had a nice meal at the restaurant with excellent service, but disappointed to be charged for ketchup with my burger & Fois gras the waitress did apologise for it but it’s the owner policy -:)
We did get superb sevice from Balint which had to get me coffee pods for the room on two occasions & gave us some useful help & information.
Apart from him when on duty the other Bar/reception staff ( it’s all in a small area) hardly knowledge you when leaving or returning, it doesn’t cost much to smile or say hello or goodbye, including some senior staff tapping away on the laptop equally ignoring the passing guests.
Hence me giving 4 stars & not 5

Not good value for money.
The location of the hotel is ideal if you want to stay centrally, yet quietly in Budapest. I found the hospitality of the hotel and the staff sufficient. However, the accommodations lack some good maintenance and real attention that you would expect based on the rate one calculated. I was definitely not impressed was the quality of the restaurant. The food was nutritious, but not culinary. In addition, I found a flaw that on arrival the receptionist immediately started about paying for an upgrade of breakfast, while there is about € 230.00 charged for an overnight stay including breakfast. In my opinion, the price/quality ratio is wrong.
