Nice hotel! It can be a bit confusing to find at first, there is an open air market on the street right in front. Parking is on the street and is limited.

Expectations were not completely met

Unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. The hotel looks great on the internet. Unfortunately, breakfast is not served on the rooftop terrace, but on the ground floor behind the house. On the first evening, the rooftop terrace was closed for a private event, as previously communicated via email. Otherwise, it was very cool up there. The reception during check-in was terrible, a bored guy. And then there were also no towels available; we were told all towels were in the laundry, and we had to wait an hour... Gythio as a place was very nice for us, great for dining, and well located for excursions in the Mani, e.g., Limeni. Conclusion: We would gladly return to Gythio, but to a different hotel

The staff were friendly cleaning staff went out of her way to help We were there in late October and it was hot and the AC didn't work thick hot covers it would have been nice to know that they closed the pool in Setember

Unacceptable service

We went to dinner at the restaurant at the roof garden. Tuesday, August 12th. We had a table closed at 8:00 p.m., as soon as we had arrived at Guthion. We ordered some appetizers at 8 and 15. The only thing that came by 10:00 was the wine. The girl who takes the order obviously never gave it to the kitchen (?). Troubled that other tables that came after us had been served, we wanted to complain to the person in charge who had only said: we will cherish your food!!! We considered it very offensive on his part and more generally by his indifference as well as the girl who carries the order. We were served by a little waitress who took us over. Polite, smiling and very apologetic, but he did not have to because he had done no mistake. Asshole!
The food, because I must be right, was amazing, as was the country. If you asked me if I would go back to that store, I would say NO. Even the 30% discount they made us on the meal I would expect the person in charge to tell us with an explanation for the late and not to send the palikakakki that served us that anyway was flawless and thanks to him we ate finally.
