Good price and a good hotel

We arrived just before New Year the kitchen was closed so we had a hard time finding something to eat in Tomohon. The room was in the new block there was no hot water, not the end of the world except the weather was not great so it was a little cold. The staff don't speak very good English but the owner can be called to communicate anything you need. Perfect position if you have transport although a taxi can be called no problem, google maps are not correct so we had a job finding it. We met the owners niece and friends and spent a lovely evening with them even dressing up in Korean traditional costume.
Rooms spacious and clean decorated to a high standard, fantastic WiFi and TV good choice of breakfast as long as you like a little spice!

The service is pretty bad. I tried to ring the receptionist multiple timed to ask for the WiFi passcode but to no avail.

A pleasant Stay.

The Hotel itself was perfect for me, The room has TV, A/C, Minibar, A big comfortable bed, a very nice bathroom with everything working really good, and a good view of the mountain forest just out the 2nd floor window. After 9am the English speaking lady arrives. And she's very helpful and nice to chat to. Other staff have limited English. But l am not complaining about that. It's a half hour walk down to the main street, and about $1 to get a little blue Microlet taxi back to Jhoanies. Be on time for breakfast or it's gone. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

not really great

Lets start with the positive, the location, Tomohon is a nice place close to some great views also from where the hotel is located. The hotel is quite, until some guest opens it doors and start talking in the hallway.
the first day I got woken up twice, basically you can hear everything being said in the hallway, the rooms have no sound isolation at all. (this occurred only during the weekend when there are more guests), even the reception bell on the ground floor you'll hear on the second floor ...
further the rooms are basic, I wouldn't call them clean though, The walls are cracked everywhere, and there was a smacked mosquito in the bathroom wall. Atleast the bed was clean.
The toilets have a water spraying seat but once I used them nothing came out, I found out it isn't connected and you need to use the sprayer next to it.
The wifi is very basic, don't expect to watch any online video service.
the aircon shuts off when you shut down the light in the hallway, so its either sleeping with aircon and light off or with the aircon and light on. Not that sleeping with the aircon on is an option since it makes so much noise it'll keep you awake, luckily its not that hot in tomohom.
The price is cheap but for this price you'll stay in a 4 star hotel in manado, so price quality ratio is not ok as most suggest.

Quality-price high rate hotel

Out of the city, but not far.
This is a quiet, nice and more-than-basic hotel to stay in Tomohon.
Hot water, very good WiFi
As a drawback, if this can be considered a drawback, most of the staff do not speak basic english
