Pretty old building
This place is located in Lebuh Melayu street which is in the heart of old quarter... The first time we entered this building we're amazed by the interior which i found great, as for the tariff is reasonable...the bathroom is clean and they have prepared some soap and shampoo inside. They also prepare mineral water. Other good point they have some bicycles to use for free...top!!!

Good spot
- Great value for money, conveniently located in Georgetown a few blocks away from great restaurants and street art
- facilities are very secure, clean and comfortable
- access to cold water dispenser, a free laundry machine (can purchase detergent for 2 Ringgit), bikes and umbrella
- really nice and helpful staff
- staff only on premises from 11-3 so make sure to coordinate arrivals and departures in advance
- wifi a bit spotty, which is common in Penang

Like
-Abt the hotel - generally
Strategic location to the jetty village and to the komtar.
-surrounded with famous food stall/ chic eattery place and attraction point
-public parking area (No parking coupon required (after 12noon) on weekend & PHoliday)
-Tom's Burger shop below the hotel - try their burger & Ice cream!
-Water dispensor is avaible at each floor
-the share bathroom is very clean.
-Responsive operator.
Abt the room
-Family room - minimum walking space for family room but the bed is reasonably big and the toilet is smaller compare to Twim room wt private bathroom. If your toilet is occupied, you can consider using the share bathroom.
-Has astro satelite TV and hair dryer. Mosquito repeller is provided.
-The private bathroom for twin bed room is really specious and well maintain
Dislike
-Family room - During my stay the ground floor family room affected due to the overflowing water from the pont next to the room. Hotel provided extra towel to dry it and it takes time to dry up the water slip underneath the wood flooring.
-The hotel doesnt have a signage in front of the shop house. It took me 3 round of car driving to locate the shop. (Actually it is located above the Tom's burger)
-Next to the hotel is a ghost house. During day time you can hear people screaming from the other side of the wall.
-Parking can be quiet challenging if during peak season. DO consider Uber/grab car
-the water pressure from the shower is really weak. it takes time to wash my long hair
-CCTV is everywhere at public area.
-You need to pass by the restaurant to reach the hotel door. Sometime the shop can have a very strong burger/ fried food smell lingering around.
-The room wall is very thin. So happen that the room placed near the staircase can often hear the heavy foot step when people walk up or pass by the room.
Overall, one off experience for this hotel. I will still choose this location but to try out different hotel along the Lebuh Malacca.

Excellent!
Stayed here for three nights, really enjoyed it. Very clean and nice room, a good mix of the old colonial style of the old town with modern finish inside. The inner court yard with the fountain is a nice place to relax and read a book and enjoy the complimentary tea! Burgers from the burger bar are good too! The owners are fantastic and really friendly and helpful too. Very good value

not recommended...bad experience
We had to wait for 25 minutes for some one to come and let us inn....Miskito's every where .it was closed and no guest's or staff.
When we went inn...it was dark,scary,and seems like no customers for long time...the room with no windows,smills humid...the fungus where every where in the closest...it's awful....don't wast your time...
