Nice and cosy
Great durst house with lovely facilities. Isa was very accommodating and really appreciated his map of the area. Beds very comfortable too!
Coffee shops and metro in walking distance with loads to see around the area too.
Nice spacious common area was great.

Felt like home
This is a lovely guesthouse. Isa is extremely welcoming and does a great job making you feel like party of the family. The place is very clean and well laid out. It's in a slightly quieter part of Tokyo, but still within easy distance of lots of attractions, especially the Asakusa area.
Note that it is cash only and they prefer that you reserve via their own site rather than a third party.

Just 1 min on foot it take from Kuramae station(Toei Asakusa Line) to GH.
From GH to Senso-JI (Asakusa), it takes about 15 min on foot.
If you wish, you can walk along the river side to Asakusa.

It felt like home
This was a great, pleasant, and clean place to stay. I booked a bed in the dormitory, and ended up with one of the top bunks. It was a comfortable bed with a decent amount of space for my things. The downstairs common area/kitchen was nice too. It was great being able to relax with a cup of tea and to have a place to relax. The owners were very friendly, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure you had a good time. There were even a few repeat visitors that I talked with.
The bathrooms and showers were always very clean, and I never had an issue finding one to use. The sinks were kind of in hallways, which wasn't an issue for me, but is something to be aware of.
I really liked the location: it was very near to the Kuramae subway station, which meant you could easily go elsewhere in Tokyo, and there were enough shops and restaurants nearby. Despite this, it was a very quiet area, great for a respite from places like Shinjuku.
The bathrooms and showers were always very clean, and I never had an issue finding one to use. The sinks were kind of in hallways, which wasn't an issue for me, but is something to be aware of.
I really liked the location: it was very near to the Kuramae subway station, which meant you could easily go elsewhere in Tokyo, and there were enough shops and restaurants nearby. Despite this, it was a very quiet area, great for a respite from places like Shinjuku.

One of reason why we have opened this GH,is enjoy chatting with guests all over the world.
There are 2 shower rooms,6 toilets,2 sinks in GH.
We think cleanliness is most important factor for GH.
So we try to keep clean in GH by daily cleaning .
Just 1 min from Kuramae staiton(Toei Asakusa Line)
So it is easy to access from Narita airport (60~70 min) ,Haneda airport (40~45 min) to GH with no transfer or 1 transfer.
On foot JR Asakusabashi station 10 min , Senso-ji Asakusa 15 min,Akihabara 25 min,Ueno station 30 min.
By subway and JR
Ueno , Akihabara 15~20 min
Tokyo station、Ginza 20~25 min
Roppongi,,Shinjyuku 30~35 min
Shibuya 35~40 min.
Kuramae is now up coming town.
There are nice hand craft shops, nice cafes,restaurants not turistic like Asakusa.
We locate in front of small street not big street.
So it is quiet area even if in Tokyo.

Cozy and lovely guesthouse
I had such an amazing time at this guesthouse.
- Firstly, Isa-san and his wife were such lovely and friendly people. Always with a smile and happy to chat. What I love was that everything around the house was done by hand. So impressed.
(PS: If you are an avid photographer/ instagrammer/ facebooker etc etc, you will like it here. The place is so quaint and pretty)
- Good location. Tucked away from the bustling and crazy Tokyo but not dead nor boring at all. Guesthouse is close to train station, convenient stores, lots of food options, walking distance to Asakusa and the Sensoji temple (so you can get there bright an early before the crowd arrives)
- I booked a bunk bed in the dormitory. Beds were comfortable and the bunk was surprisingly spacious. Though you can hear the other people rustling through their things, but the curtains provided sufficient privacy if you need to rest and not up to chatting.
Overall, I had such a great stay here and met some really nice traveller. Highly recommend this place to stay in Tokyo.

We (almost Yumiko) have renovated this 70 years old wood small GH for more than 1 year.
Yumiko also have made bunk beds,sink,tile,sofa,table and so on.
This building is made of wood,so it smells the wood and retreat you by the Vibration.
We fortunately welcoming many repeat guests.

Home away from home!
What a wonderful stay in Tokyo! The guesthouse is clean and super cosy. Isa is so helpful and kind—it is like he is welcoming you into his home. Book directly via their website for a free towel rental! And the daily muffin is the spot to grab breakfast!
