Leaves much to be desired
I was here for work and was traveling with a group of international guests.
The room was subpar. The carpet in my room was filthy. I mentioned it to colleagues - they all said their rooms were just as bad, one had even switched rooms to get another one that was worse. I also could hear absolutely everything occurring in the adjoining room and clearly my neighbour was jet lag as he stayed up late watching tv until 2am at least every night, impacting my sleep. There was no bottled water in my room which is quite frustrating when you need to go hunt down drinkable water at the end of the night in pjs to take a pill.
The area around the hotel is loud and I was awoken very early each morning by honking starting about 5am. I shared this with my travel companions staying elsewhere in the hotel and everyone had the same experience regardless of floor or what side their room faced.
The neighborhood is not walking friendly in the evening. I literally went across the street at 7pm to meet up with friends for dinner and one of the traffic cops from in front of the hotel insisted on walking me. Very kind of him but it is quite concerning if you are solo traveling and staying here multiple nights. You are pretty much forced to eat at the hotel each night since the park across the street appears to cater to illicit activity. Taking an uber to dinner really isn’t a viable option as the traffic is absolutely horrendous in front of the hotel. Upon arrival our first night it took 45 minutes to go the last 6 blocks…so jumping in an uber to go to other areas really depends on the time of day.
The staff are nice and try hard but in the main lobby restaurant and bars they are either poorly trained or understaffed. Meal service is painfully slow, the food is delivered incorrect and billing is a total mess. One night I went out for dinner while my colleagues opted to eat in. By the time I returned from my sit down restaurant meal a few blocks away, they hadn’t even been served their food yet at the hotel.

Upon asking at reception I was told that’s one available in the suites !!!
I then proceeded to ask for some sort of facility and was told they could give me a Kettle and go buy your coffee. Unfortunately when the kettle arrived it was literally the Kettle , no mug , no spoon nothing so i just went and bought all the stuff myself.
This is unacceptable service from a Sheraton and the moment I asked about tea and coffee facilities I should have been offered. This is a basic standard in any 2 star hotel.
The breakfast was ok and the room was cleaned nicely but the carpets in the rooms leave a lot to be desired. ( take flip flops ).
