No staff on site. Info by SMS which was okay.

Apartment was large, clean, good facilities, good location (Burnie is pretty small). A bit of noise from the docks but didn’t annoy us. It’s an unattended accomodation so you’re basically just left alone, fine for us. Ample instructions re keys etc given. Only downside is the parking is in a lot across the street, not a big problem but could be inconvenient for some. Spots are reserved for you though. We were happy.

Worst accommodation for noise

Amenities were lovely. What wasn’t great was the lack of sleep.
Unless you can sleep through anything please don’t book. If anyone is staying in the apartment next door you can hear everything. We were unluckily enough to share the time with a number of couples that loved to drink and stay up all night.
Then there was the location which was just across from the port of Burnie. There may have been a few hours in the night the forklifts and trucks stopped but it was like garbage truck day for the majority of the day and night. Saturday night was the worst though as then we had to add screaming people outside as it’s right next door to safe space Burnie and hooning cars that used it as a drag strip.
After two nights we are exhausted.

This property has 3 apartments, we got apartment No 3. It is advised that access is from the footpath, which means you go straight from the footpath into the apartment. It obviously was a shop, (I’m guessing a hairdressers) the bathroom was nice, the toilet roll was good quality and the kitchen area was nice. That’s it, the rest was awful, we couldn’t get any natural light because of the large window and the door with 3 clear panes of glass and a clear fan light, the window blind had to be kept closed and the ill fitting black blind on the door. The space was depressing, the carpet is so old, the walls are painted red and green, the ceiling light is the size of a UFO, there are two steps up to the raised bathroom & laundry area, but there is no railing on this raised area and the drop is 1/2 a meter. The furnishings and soft furnishings look like they were bought from a charity shop, nothing matched. For the price we paid we didn’t expect to be sleeping in a shop.
