A scandal to offer such a motel to customers who have already paid on booking.com

Scandalous: no reception. We had to take another motel when we had already paid
Liked · We arrived on the Easter holiday and there was no reception. We had to call and the individual who answered informed us that the room scheduled for one night only and paid in advance was not available until 2 pm. Motels in Australia do everything to free rooms and apartments as soon as the guest arrives in the morning, as he often just drove hours away which was our case. We were in another motel not much more expensive but that welcomed us right away. I then chatted on the booking.com website with the manager of the Gladstone Capricorn apartments who dared to say that they were overbooked the day before and that the cleaning was not done yet. In fact it was a holiday Easter weekend and neither the cleaning staff nor he worked. The height is the total absence of reception. BOOKING.COM NEEDS TO REMOVE THIS MOTEL FROM THE LIST TO PREVENT ITS LOYAL GUESTS FROM BEING MISLED ABOUT ITS QUALITY BECAUSE THE STRUCTURE IS REBARBATIVE AND OUTDATED AND IT IS NOT AT ALL ENGAGING ...

We had to take a room in another motel nearby that gave us access to our room right away: it was 10 am. SO WE DID NOT OCCUPY THE PREPAID ROOM 3 DAYS BEFORE THE GLADSTONE CAPRICORN APARTMENTS. WHO WANTS TO KNOW NOTHING FOR A ONE-NIGHT REFUND .. A REAL FINANCIAL HOSTAGE-TAKING ... FROM THE OUTSIDE THIS MOTEL IS EXTREMELY ANTIQUATED AND DOES NOT PROVOKE ANY WILLINGNESS TO STAY THERE GIVEN ITS STATE OF DECAY

Managers are ignorant and service is poor. Communication between management doesn't seem to happen..

Don't waste your money, a backpackers would be cleaner and nicer

This place was disgusting!! We arrived to find out there was no Office or Reception desk and we had to phone a mobile number for checkin. The person we phoned said we could not check in until after 2pm due to cleaning which was fine but we had to phone back so he could then give us a code to access a safety box where our key was. We walked into the room after 2pm to see thick layers of dust on nearly every surface, mold and soap scum on sink and bath (we paid extra to have a spa room but were too scared to use the spa when we saw a condom in the plug hole), oily food residue on plates and cutlery, and were given 1 towel and only 1 fork for 2 of us in the room. We called the mobile number again to get another towel and when he turned up he wouldn't even come into the room to address the issues we had with the cleaning except that he would get the cleaners to fix it the next day. We came back the next day to find the skirting boards had been wiped down and nothing else was touched in the room. They charge extra if you don't wash up your dishes but they couldn't even clean the necessary parts of the room. One photo we have is of the carpark with rubbish everywhere AFTER the cleaners had been. The place is falling apart with the shade sails in the carport ripped and torn and posts bent over, there are cracks in the sink, and just so many more problems that are too long to mention. Our recommendation don't book here, find somewhere else to stay.
