Down to earth experience in Dufftown

We didn't expect fireworks, there were limited options in the Dufftown area for our stay in late April - we needed 2 rooms and while 1 room was easy to come by 2 at the time we looked for was almost impossible - this is a popular area for all the folks who want to explore the Speyside area with all the great distilleries, and here is no different - you get to be walking distance to Glenfiddich and Balvenie, and Balvenie castle :)
Dufftown is a cozy and charming little town/village - we took a nice walk area the area with my mom and my wife and we all fell in love with it, one of the most charming areas we came across around Scotland - so it's not just whisky! :)
Rooms were fairly basic, nothing to brag about nor to take away - it's a proper sleep type of place and then you drive somewhere else.
Breakfast was at their restaurant, a building next door - a welcome surprise as there is also a small bar/breakfast room in the main building downstairs.
Parking on the street is free but it's first come first served.

Worth a stay

Clean well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. Generous breakfasts and faultless staff.
The restaurant out the back serves great food, the staff were brilliant and my whisky loving husband was in heaven with the menu. I wouldn’t have said no to a better wine choice but I know that isn’t why you go to Speyside!
The pub for the inn itself felt a bit for locals, but we felt comfortable getting drinks in there and taking them back to our room.

Well-maintained accommodation in the heart of the whisky center.

Finding a central accommodation in Dufftown is a problem due to the manageable size of the town. We were very satisfied with the Whisky Capital Inn and beyond, as it is a very well-maintained and freshly renovated accommodation. The restaurant and whisky bar are directly connected and recommended.
We could park right on the street and got a nice room on the upper floor, which had very comfortable beds. Aside from a certain noise level, we were very satisfied with it, as well as with the breakfast options (vegan options available, very commendable!) and the friendly service.
In summary, it was a very pleasant stay that we can recommend.

Local Gem of Dufftown

Here you can really experience Scottish hospitality. Friendly people and great food for a reasonable price. Hundreds of whiskies you can drink here for dessert. Stuard has an enormous knowledge of whiskies and knows how to recommend a perfect whisky based on your wishes.
