A hidden gem just off A38 a stunning experience

This was one of the best places we have stayed in The location is good - not much of the journey is on Devon lanes! Just off A38 Our room was exquisitely decorated bed extremely comfortable shower excellent and the toiletries smelled beautiful All of the staff, and we encountered many on our 4 day stay, were without doubt the friendliest and most helpful The menu choices were excellent- the only slight disappointment is that the fish special was the same fish However that did not deter us from finding excellent alternatives We tried the Friday night steak deal - both the rib eye and rump were tender and full of flavour The portions were generous I have coeliac disease and need gluten free options They were very accommodating and I had some delicious food And the gluten free bread is from a local specialist and is the best I’ve ever had We will be back

Anticlimax

Very nice pub and settings. However food was average and over expensive. When a dessert price is over £10 then it gets silly. In comparison Drum Inn in Cockington serves well prepared food ar a reasonable price.

What a great stay we had on New Year’s Eve at the Ley Arms.nice clean well decorated rooms food excellent and staff couldn’t do enough Breakfast was plentiful.great way to see in the new year.thanks to all at the Ley.

Absolutely First Class!

We did a last minute stopover due to weather & next day commitments in the area & I am so glad we stumbled across this place, what a GEM! The room (no 3) was gorgeous, spacious, so clean, beautifully decorated, you had everything you wanted, comfy bed, cosily warm where you were able to adjust the heating very easily yourself & amazingly quiet, despite the pub being busy. You were off set to the side of the pub, so you weren’t disturbed by the comings & goings. The pub itself was amazing too, the owners have such an eye for detail & decor, it was stunning. Sadly we had eaten elsewhere for lunch but the menu looked fab & the food looked so great coming out of the efficient kitchen, we went for a few of their nibbles & it was great. Our breakfast was also great. I must say it is one of the best places we have stayed at for an age, definitely up there in my top 5. We don’t live far away, so we will be back for sure to sample the pub food & a special overnight treat or two. It also looked a great area to explore further, so lots to do. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough!
