Amazing meal

Took my Mrs for a meal and wow the food was amazing. I can't thank Kev the chef enough for accommodating my requests. Top chef! Also thanks to my nan for recommending it last week will definitely be back.

Well worth a visit

Always fancied trying the hotel so the opportunity arose and no regretting it.
A lovely, located, well presented and staffed hotel. Some areas a little dated and tired but all clean and tidy.
We chose a sea view room and a good choice it was. B,B plus evening meal too. Great food. Great choices too.
Just one gripe, that was the breakfast bacon, sausage ,black pudding, mushrooms were greatly overcooked. Edible though.
Would definitely recommend the hotel if you're wanting treat.
Good weather is a bonus.

Lovely historic hotel with a modern twist

Was a bit of a walk from the end marker for the Yorkshire Wolds Way but so worth it. Beautifully clean and welcoming.Friendly staff. Very comfortable room with good shower.We had a sea view room on 2nd floor [ there's a lift]which was lovely . Lovely characterful hotel with a history- live how some things have been modernised but not at the expense of losing the character of the building.
We were late arriving so missed places in town being open for food- ate at the hotel which was a good standard of food and generous portions- too full for dessert but they looked good. Fabulous breakfast although my friend would have liked larger portion of smoked haddock with her eggs. Otherwise great experience. And walking distance to the station!

We are both disabled but despite the dew downsides would return

A Lovel Hotel beautifully decorated, spotless clean, excellent staff, who were very helpful. We had a twin room beautifully appointed, lovely soft bed and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, drinks tray with bottles of water and biscuits.
Bathroom had a large walk-in shower very useful as we are both disabled. Grab handles were provided for safety in the shower and also at the side of the toilet. There is a lift, but it is quite small and would not take a wheelchair. Meals were very good with good menu choices
Downside, no accessible toilet in the lounge/bar area. Steps to main entrance, there is a ramp which is really a fire escape route, but it is not signposted it ,Requires signage pointing to the ramp.

Lovely hotel

We stayed here on our last night after walking the Wolds Way. It was a lovely hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.
